Ori and the Will of the Wisps does a great job of following in the base template Ori and the Blind Forest. There are definite improvements in game quality and graphics. The controls are just as buttery smooth and the new focus on combat adds an interesting element I was hoping for in the original game.

Unfortunately I think there are far too many skills and as a result many of them just aren't needed or replace other skills. While the equipable shards allow character variety from the core swappable skills, I usually just had Arch Shot (Bow), Heal, and Sword as my default options and rarely swapped to the Hammer or sentry outside of situations and boss fights. After I got the Launch ability I basically didn't need anything outside of my double/triple jump and an occasional Dash.

TLDR: I recommend Will of the Wisps, but felt like it made more mistake than the Bind Forest.
