On that frigid, barren night —
When the stars had retreated

Salt adorning my broken face:
Unmargined oceans abandoned to create
The tears that covered me.
Whilst my sadness collapsed my
Will and suffocated my Hope:

As I walked alone amongst
The asphalt – doomed to crack
And rot under noontide heat –
And saw empty cars left
By men with no names:
So Our Moon gave me comfort.

As my Soul felt walls
Being built by that monster
Of the individual – As friends
And family removed the love
That sustained my Heart’s furnace:
So Our Moon gave me comfort.

As the sky weighed down
Against my spirit’
s resolve;
As Beauty became a stranger
And vacated my memory
To live in earthen tomb:
So Our Moon gave me comfort.

As the World declared me unknown;
As the Humanity felt me dead;
As the Planets turned their backs;
As the Spirits silenced my voice:

So Our Moon gave me Hope.
So Our Moon gave me Life.
So Our Moon gave me Love.
So Our Moon wrote my Fate.
