Straight back to childhood. Definitely worth the money.

Solo'd the first play-through on Normal mode starting with Axl and then swapping to Adam. Reminded me of when I was a kid again playing on the Megadrive II / Genesis.

Completed in 3 hours, but there's lots of replay value and things to unlock, need to try out co-op mode too.

Hands ache. Even on Normal mode, solo was pretty difficult. Kept getting D rank at first with Axl, but started to get C and B with Adam.

Recommend playing as Adam H as soon as you unlock him, Axl's mechanics are a bit clunky. Adam's strafe moves and combat style makes it much easier to solo.

Definitely buy if you played 1 2 and 3 as a kid. If not, get the "Gens" emulator and play those through first just to understand what this game's about.

Found it hilarious that Adam still has his iconic shout from SoR 1 when he does a fly-kick. Doesn't seem Axl has the same "AAAA" as SoR 1 though or I wasn't paying as much attention hahaha.

Disjointed thoughts after staying up all night and playing this through for the first time.

Overall I would recommend this game. I am a massive fan of original RE3. This game did well to honour the original RE3, but it DID feel a bit rushed. This could be due to the overhauled gameplay mechanics though. It told the story a little clearer with more spoon-feeding than leaving it up to the player to work things out, but compared to the original where cut-scenes were sparse there's a lot less reading and problem solving to do in this remake, and therefore a lot less gameplay time. Three good words to describe it is "condensed", "concise", and "efficient" - which can be taken either negatively or positively, but overall I think they did a good job and it was fun to play. Didn't like the action sequences. With the original RE3 everything took longer, but this was to be expected. This remake felt faster paced than RE2 remake and less horrific and there was a lot less suspense and fear involved.

After calming down a little over the hype and joy of reliving a game from my childhood, I'd say this game deserves a 6.5 of 10 - I feel they could've really fleshed it out a LOT more and slowed the pace down, included more problem solving, and made it a bit closer to the original than it is. Especially with the problem solving and puzzles.

Would've been cool to have the following:
Choices when confronting nemesis
Actually include the clock tower section and not skip right over this part
Include the grave digger (the huge worm thing)
Include the gas station blowing up in the first place
Include the interim metamorphosis of Nemesis before he starts walking on all fours maybe?

I really hope they bring back mercenaries as some kinda DLC too, because that was great in the original.
