Bought it because it won the GOTY award - and I don't see the hype, maybe this has been a poor year for me or maybe this style of action games arent for me.

From the main menu onwards the game did not feel very polished. The main menu looks ugly, and assumed I am using a controller. I couldn't change my FPS limit either. Then once in game I found the art style to be ugly and the graphics looked like a previous gen game. Moving around dose not feel very satisfying, and climbing on objects is not consistent.

The combat I found overtly simple and seems to be a game where you need to endlessly practice timings and understand how the enemy moves - something I neither have the time nor patience for. The storyline seemed pretty cliche and was not gripping enough for me to keep going.

Maybe if I would have kept going I would have liked it, but I refunded. If you enjoy refining a niche skill to death or like anime storylines maybe this game is for you. I don't like either of those things.
