Honestly after years of waiting for a true Harry potter game we finally received it and its big. The overall immersion of the game is great and really gives you some amazing cinematic pieces like we remember from the books and movies.
Pros:
-Fun Gameplay
-Great visuals
-Amazing story
-Ancient magic(Main focal point of story, is done amazing)
-Classes can be a lot of fun
-teleportation across map
-multiple locations outside of Hogwarts

Cons:
-Starting as a fifth year
-Having loads of catch up to do due to previous point
-Tedious filler tasks and side quests some of which require specific items to progress in the story
-Certain items needed for quests don't explain how to obtain items
-Takes ages to unlock certain key things
-Main missions are fun but can take awhile to reach
-Single player only no co-op

Now onto the actual review. While the game does deliver a good story it can take ages to get from one mission to the next. you're required to complete certain classes and tasks before the next class unlocks. While this seems cool at first it very quickly becomes a boring run to one end of the map to grab another piece to run back(RPG usual). The classes can require certain items before you can progress and it doesn't give you any ideas on where to find those items. The clothing spots have limited number of items you can have(Can be upgraded using special trials). I'm realistically like 7-8 hours(I've been doing side missions) in and still don't have any of my mounts or have any animals in my room of requirement. Room of requirement has some cool stuff but ultimately is barely useful with a hub for potion making and plant growing. Decorations are cool and the space is huge inside. Getting around the castle at first sucks and takes forever to go from one side to the next. Also worth noting that if you're not careful you can miss entire sections of the game like the dark arts. Dialoge choices matter but don't really explain how with either a nice option or you can respond as a jerk.

In summary overall, this is it. The harry potter game we've been waiting for. Its tempting to try to level up and get to the next story piece but I'd like to say take some time to explore. Plenty of spells and powers can easily be missed if you're not exploring. Enjoy the game we've all been waiting years for.

Current Minor gripe, I am at the endgame now and want to finish the last mission I have done all of the side quests except the finding the moons one and one other harder fetch quest. I am level 32 and need to be 34 to do the last mission. No it is not a recommendation it is locked until level 34. Either I try and complete merlin trials all over or I find the last 2 side quest fetch crap. My final option is to run all over killing enemies until I level up.

Final update beat the game after killing enemies over and over to level up. Only missing demguise moon quest, a treasure which you need to complete the moons to have access to, and the dadalean keys. Overall one of the best games I've played in years as mentioned the endgame is annoying if you aren't at level 34 when you beat the main boss. Spent hours leveling up to get a cutscene which was a good cutscene but felt lackluster after almost 40 hours of game time

New update finally after all this time. We finally get access to the haunted hogsmead quest that we've had dangled in front of our faces as a playstation exclusive for so long. The quest can be fun but its really a tiny story with a fetch quest like a lot of the others just redesigned. Go from one room to the next and you get blocked by a door slamming in your face(Oh No!) so you backtrack to a new area and fight some mannequins rinse and repeat the main bad guy saying "Oh I didn't expect you to get this far" over and over again. You get a boss fight which leads to another boss fight that they want you to have to actually stay fighting instead of just using the killing curse(Its blocked out during the fight, it makes sense). so you have this tedious dodge two barrels and protego one so it'll bounce up to knock the bosses shield out. Rinse and repeat. Its not bad by any means but a year long exclusive for that quest is very meh. Also they just added photo mode and are like "look, look we added something you wanted" that should have been there in the first place and secondly isn't dlc or anything worth going back for.
