The Return of the Obra Dinn is a game I wish I could play for the first time over and over again. I'd describe this game as a "1 bit forensic scene puzzle game in a nautical setting", but even that doesn't really do it justice. This game sucks you in for a brief period of time, and allows you to explore the world and it's characters with very minimal handholding. While near the middle of the game, it can become difficult to find a direction to follow or lead to hone in on, overall the game is very fair and created so many "A-HA!" moments for me as I deduced the identities of the entire crew. Each person will explore this game differently, and will come to solutions in different ways, and to the credit of Mr. Pope, the game will cater to each and every player on their terms.

I strongly encourage you to go into this game blind, be patient and observant, and DO NOT look at guides. The game is very solvable, but requires you to pay attention as you go. This game is one to be treasured.
