Borderlands 2 is a game I have a strong connection with. Borderlands is one of my favorite franchises of all time; and this game is one of the reasons why. Sure, this game can be janky at times. Sure, the endgame content can be frustrating at times too. But this game is a one-of-a-kind and I doubt we'll ever get a game quite like it ever again.

There's so much fun content in this game and you have the ability to do all of it all over again with a different character with different skill trees if you wanted to. The DLC's are also some of the best in the Borderlands franchise. The guns may not be as satisfying to shoot as the guns in Borderlands 3, but the guns and gear this game gives you still allow you to experiment and have a lot of fun doing so. What makes it better is that this is even more fun with friends!

From a narrative perspective, this games story and writing are absolutely fantastic. Most if not all characters are very memorable, it ties into the first game perfectly, hilarious writing especially by 2012 standards, and even more. However, there's one character that absolutely carries this games story; Handsome Jack. Handsome Jack is infamous for being one of the best video game antagonists ever made. You will both love and hate him.

Stylistically, it's amazing. There's some games that try to mimic the style of a comic book, but I think Borderlands does it perfectly. Borderlands 2's art style is pure eye candy.

If you like shooters at all, I highly recommend checking this game out. Regardless of how much I play this game, I can't get enough of it. Borderlands 2 is a masterpiece.
