Looked interesting.
Thought it would keep me busy for a couple of days.
Gave it a try.
Couldn't stop.
Ended up with over a 1000 hours.

Good game. Recommended.

For real though, this is the only game where the devs personally messaged me to make sure that a bug that I was facing was fixed. I was also placed in the end credits which was pretty crazy when all I did was share feedback on the steam forums. They are really passionate and have been working on the game consistently for over 3 years now by releasing small updates every month. Please support them if the game looks interesting.

Love dandylion <3 Can't wait for season 2.

A really good RPGmaker adventure title. Highly recommended if you enjoyed similar titles like to the moon and rakuen.
The game has no jumpscares at least none that are on your face and obnoxious, I still recommend it even for non horror fans. Its a bittersweet yet heartwarming story
++ Nice and detailed pixel art
++ Great soundtrack
Proper translation with no errors/issues. However, do note that the translation has a bunch of "TL Note: keikaku means plan" moments. Aside from that minor nitpick no other issues

The best puzzle platformer that I have and probably will ever get to play.
I bought the game at around oct 2018 if I remember correctly. I played it on and off as I was not as impressed by it initially. The extra B side stages were very brutal and made me rage quit several times. Yet the game has a certain charm that always made me feel like going back and completing these stages. There were of course times when I could not figure out the intended solution of a stage and bang my head around trying to beat it with my own difficult but possible solution.
However, the thing that sets celeste apart from other puzzle platformers is that it never severely punishes you for trying out your own solution. Compared to MO:Astray which is another puzzle platformer that I played recently where trying anything but the intended solution will end up in you punching the monitor. Quick respawns and leniency on pixel precision always keeps you completely engaged in the gameplay.
You eventually figure out the better solution and just breeze through the levels that you got frustrated on earlier. This in itself gives you such a massive boost in confidence. You feel connected with the player character as she struggles to climb the mountain by getting better 1 step at a time.
I have never felt this great just replaying old levels and seeing my death count and time shrink compared to the first runs.
Also as a side note if you enjoy watching speedruns, celeste has the most insane and crazy stuff out there.

Gameplay: 10/10 I have no idea how anyone can come up with improved controls and better game design at least for puzzle platformers.
Music: 9/10 From carefree tunes and somber ambience to intense melodies, Celeste packs a variety of tracks that go alongside with the story very well.
Graphics: 6/10 It is pixel art and not very detailed at that. This was a necessary sacrifice to let the controls be as polished as they are. If you play video games for their graphics then I don't think you would be looking at a 2d pixel platformer in the first place.
The developers were generous enough to give an entire chapter with more than 100 levels as free DLC and yet I still wish there were more stages. The game is just that enjoyable, I wish it would never end.

P.S. I forgot to mention assist mode which is a better implementation of "easier difficulty" that I have seen in video games. If a stage is too difficult for you that it makes you upset just try assist mode and reduce the speed to 90% or 80% and then try again. Don't worry, the game will not make you feel like you cheated, in fact now that you got the hang of both the solution and the execution you will just do it without realizing it even at 100%. At least that's how it went for me. Every time I used assist mode, after I beat the chapter I would always go back and complete the said stage at 100% and I would notice the improvement right away.
There's also dash assist and invincibility to help you practice specific parts of long stages and infinite dashes to move to a specific stage quickly.
Don't use the skip chapter function tho, that is just dumb.

Fun little pass time that you can boot up and play when you want to have a break and relax. Platforming while being challenging on its own will never be stressful due to game's generous continues and save points. MagiCat does not do try to do anything new or unique but manages to perfectly pull off the basics, while it is definitely no celeste it can still be worth trying for its cost. Might not be able to recommend to hardcore players that look for challenging boss fights, the game takes a while to get decently challenging and even then a lot of boss battles are very easy to cheese and breeze through.
