A short game, but one that absolutely nails the gameplay and style of its inspirations. Fun, clever level design and wacky characters abound. if this had come out on the N64 (with a few extra worlds) it would have been an absolute classic.
I would love to see more in this style from the developers.

It's like a 2D Toribash cranked up to 11. If you know, you know.

The game is a lot of fun and well worth the $20 price tag. The concept is fun and interesting (for a Dragon Ball game anyway) and the gameplay on both sides is enjoyable when you gain some proficiency at it. Real tense matches, huge upsets, last second shenron summons, what more could want in your DBZ game?

Unfortunately the meta is a bit undeveloped so there are a lot of dead weight team mates and there are hackers occasionally. If Bandai continues to support this game and bans the cheaters I'll stick with it.

Pales in comparison to the previous remake and even the original game.

I always be a die hard fan of the classic games and wish they would go back to RE1 Remake's style but I have to admit this game translated pretty well to this style of gameplay. Item management and routing is still very important despite the absolutely massive amount of inventory slots you can end up with. Bosses can be challenging the first time you fight them since they take way more punishment than their classic counterparts.
I have to say I dislike how many "walky talky" segments they added and how many of the original game's best moments have been reduced to scripted sequences instead of gameplay. Some choices, such as giving Ada Wong a weird electronics switching gun, had me wondering why they would add something so silly to the more grounded classic cast of characters. That part felt like something I'd see in Code: Veronica.

Very fun and decently challenging deck building game. Each "deck" can be played multiple ways but each one manages to be very diverse from each other despite this. Tons of interesting and broken card and artifact combinations that you'll pick up on intuitively as you progress through a run. Daily climbs are always a good time killer when you're looking for a quit game. Enough content for the price but even with the updates I would like to see a little more variety to push this game into the upper tiers of roguelites.

Great game for anyone missing good platformers. A bit light on content unless you grab both DLC campaigns, but the mod content is great for extending the fun.
Also if you play co-op turn it to split screen for the love of god.

Early Access Review
I can't believe a good game died so you guys could pump out a generic and shallow imitation. Is this the best you could do? Far as I can tell you have ONE mechanic that wasn't present in PM and it cost you all the extra content that was associated with Brawl. Worse still, you've adopted a lootbox model and try to pass this garbage off as an esport.
At the end of the day there is a better game out there for absolutely free (with your existing copy of Brawl of course) that has more depth, more content and a hell of a lot more enjoyment to be had. If you're wondering: Yes I mad. When's Knuckles?

Fired their sound designer for not being liberal enough and are currently dead set on ruining their game for a minority of crybabies in resetera.
If I could get a refund I would, because there is nowhere for this game to go but down.
