This game is still a joy to play all these decades later. As an adventure, the fundamentals are so incredibly solid. Good dungeon and world design, solid pacing, incredibly diverse locations to explore, a genuine sense of progression and scale.

While this version of FFI is probably one of the easiest you can play, it's the most accessible way to experience a piece of essential JRPG reading. it's simple, sweet; it's comfort food through and through.

It is shorter and easier than Hollow Fragment, and the gameplay is more action oriented. Theres still a ton of problems with the gameplay; repetitive missions, empty areas, predictable story, stiff dialogue. the gameplay itself is pretty enjoyable though, and the music is allright. decent game for fans, and it doesn't overstay its welcome either.

only play this if you care about the SAO game timeline and are planning on playing them in order. if all you care about is gameplay, then get Hollow Realization. The gameplay is clunky and very aged. theres a ton of content here so if it turns out to be your thing then get ready for a long ride.

This game is actually hilarious.

Story is ok, graphics and music are ok, the whole package is ok. The gameplay however is very solid and the fan service ties the package together. If you like mainline Dragon Quest and Musou games, you'll like this too.

Just as good as I remember. Do yourself a favor and play it.

An incredibly weird and fun multiplayer game. Super fun to play with friends but there's little else to it. Only buy it if you know you have people to play it with. Also the physics can be broken with hats and that's amazing.
