First of all, if you're a final fantasy nostalgia fanboy/purist who keeps saying blah blah this game is ♥♥♥♥ its not turn-based, not that open world, blah blah never gonna be the same again. then i wouldnt go for this game

but if you're like me who played lots of final fantasies before (though im not saying that it's a requirement to play other final fantasies if you want this game) and is also extremely open-minded and not a judgmental ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, then i would really suggest playing this game :)

Things to do when wanting to buy a game.


-Like the art/design of the game? then buy it
-DON'T listen to other's opinions and thoughts about this game, specially if they're the ones who tend to hate a lot of things and are close-minded
-IT is more fun to not think about what others are saying and just experience the game for yourself, you may be even surprised with the experience you will get :)
-soak it all in, don't stress, have fun :)

This game was a blast to play! and i'm still not even close to finishing it, the story is amazing! characters, i love 'em all! i've played lots of final fantasies before and i really dont get why people tend to hate on this game, they're just harsh and close minded, yes the combat is different which is a good thing. unlike other final fantasies before, you CAN'T break the game with the combat for example in the other FF's before this, you just get the ultimate weapon and then spam attack dealing 99999 damage, which is no fun and utterly boring, the combat in this game is so satisfying everytime you get a victory because it really requires strategy and knowing what to do with your characters roles, plus the paradigm shifting during the battles are fun to master and to experiment with. YES this game is not perfect, there are some flaws, but there is more good things than bad things, MOST FF fans just dont see that because they're too stuck in nostalgia who thinks every final fantasy above X is ♥♥♥♥.

if you're a RPG/JRPG fan that's looking for a great story, soundtrack, sceneries, characters, fun and enganging combat system, open minded and not a judgmental prick like most people then i would really love to recommend this game to you. if you dont get the story right away, just hold on, things will open up, and you can even look and read at the datalogs to understand it a bit more, because it is such a great story and i really would like everyone to experience the same thing that i had when i was playing this for the first time, i even shed a tear in an intense moment in chapter 8 cause its just so great, anyway im still not finished playing this game, and im still working my way up getting the ultimate weapons and upgrading my characters. so have a good day :D

As Lightning Farron (main protagonist ffxiii) said in game, its not a question of can or can't there are some things in life you just DO... in this case, just DO it, just play the game, its great, trust me :)
