Please make server files available for public to host their own servers or allow / develop a Co-Op version developed for players to host out.

You could still put out small supporter packs or something to pull something in for the minor development change to allow peer to peer where you are not hosting servers. This game was awesome for the little bit I managed to play. It will be missed.

I absolutely loved this game until I realized how bad the cost for bought cosmetics would be.

I usually spend a bit on games cosmetics, it's pretty much guaranteed on launch of a game that is 'free' with 'buy to cosmetics' I'm going to buy in.

'Account' wide purchases are actually 'regional' purchases. The devs changed from stating that it would be account wide to 'UID' which is linked by region. Really scummy practice on the Dev's part. I have made a feedback request on their discord to update it to account. No response from them at all. Apparently they can account wide ban someone from logging into any region, but being able to unlock account wide cosmetics is not something they're capable of.

Account is generally what you log in with/from - steam - into their game and servers. They linked all regions to one main account login and server but now claim each region is it's own account which is insanity.

There is now an in game translator! When I first started playing the game there was no translator, they added one about 3 months or so in.

There are a lot of issues and given the way it is unclear about some cosmetic purchases being 'account' but actually region locked at this time I cannot recommend this game.

Something else to note with the devs.. As of yet they have been terrible about communicating clearly about promotions and left players scrambling or unaware of things until it's 'too late' to get things in the game. It's been a highly frustrating experience trying to get any info. On top of this their UI for accessing events and things is clunky with a lot of bloat on being able to reach the event pages.

* Currently seasons are entirely too short if you are playing through to enjoy the cutscenes and quest lines. I have been taking time to read everything and finding there just is not enough time to really go through everything unless no-lifeing the game.

Significant glitches with buildings and being able to build in game. I lost my buildings for a bit and ended up having to break it to get anything back. They have a lot of the glitches from CBT3 that are showing and the newest scenario introduced all new glitches with people losing deviants to enemies attacking which is not as intended. According to their announcements they will fix this sometime in December. Well after the issue being resolved would matter the most for those currently in the buggy new scenario. So far we have four scenarios, PvP and PvE Manibus (alts can bid and drive up score for big guilds) Prismverse (PvP, also manipulable with alts) and Way of Winter which has issues with players losing deviants that are not suppose to drop for others to loot.

Edit: Lost a bunch of combat deviants despite them being where we are not suppose to lose them when our inventory is not full. Newest scenario is hot trash with the glitches and no effort made to fix it.

Got the bundle immediately. Make sure everything is linked BEFORE you even consider buying. If it's not linked you are in for a hassle.

I disliked the kernel level anti cheat (these are far too invasive, but I was willing to tolerate it because the game was good).

I got distracted by other games and this was on my 'to return to' list. Then the requirement to have a PSN account was activated. On launch this was not a thing. It was in the details, but not active and a lot of us thought that this would not be applied. Only something like 73 countries have PSN accessability. People that are using VPN to get around this to make a PSN to access the game they purchased before PSN requirement was activated are getting bans or just losing access to the game purchased.

CLEARLY they did NOT need us to have PSN since it did not make us have a PSN account linked to the game at the start. GG for taking some of the heat off of BSG and their recent P2W in Tarkov. You at least served a purpose with that.

*Sony revisited the decision to require PSN but trust with SONY is still broken.

Game play wise while this has microtransactions it's still a really good game. Most if not all things can be earned in game.

Absolutely love the game. Overall I have it a 9/10.

This game is absolute meme material on all levels.

"Rabid Fangirls are invading your base!"
- A horde of Lavenders appears.
--- Lavender # in Paldeck is ... 69.

Hangyu were used to do public executions to 'tear the skin right from their (a criminal's) bones.'

Just read the description to this Pal (and others) some are really worth it.

My one major frustration is buildings and pals getting stuck.

~{ Graphics }~
☐ You forget what reality is
☐ Beautiful
☑ Good
☐ Decent
☐ Bad
☐ Don‘t look too long at it
☐ MS-DOS

- I'm mixed on this, I love the sunset over the desert, there's some very beautiful areas and things, it is at it's core made to be an anime type style.

~{ Audio }~
☐ Eargasm
☐ Very good
☑ Easy on the ears
☐ Good
☐ OK
☐ Bad
☐ I'm now deaf

- I play a lot with sound off or low, so not going to judge this too hard.

~{ Audience }~
☐ Kids
☑ Teens
☑ Adults
☐ Grandma

- You can catch and butcher pals .... and people. But it's considered inhumane.

~{ PC Requirements }~
☐ Check if you can run paint
☐ Potato
☐ Decent
☑ Fast
☐ Rich boi
☐ Ask NASA if they have a spare computer

- My laptop stutters on this but my desktop is fine. Laptop is a i7 with a fair graphics card and it's not able to do more than studder around a little. Unplayable on my laptop, good on the desktop (Laptop around 6 years old..).

~{ Difficulty }~
☐ Child's Play
☑ Easy
☐ Easy to learn / Hard to master
☐ Significant brain usage
☐ Difficult
☐ Dark Souls

- Mixed. Gameplay is easy, the crossing creatures is harder. Overall I rate difficulty easy. You can turn the appearance of pals up and end up having to face 3 bosses at a time and Pals will be seen roaming in small herds rather than alone.

~{ Level Grind }~
☐ Nothing to Grind for
☐ Isn't necessary to work for it
☑ Average
☐ Too much grind
☐ No sleep for you

- There is an xp slider so if it's too slow (or fast) you can adjust it. XP adjustment does seem to impact pals. How fast or slow and how 'difficult' it is will be up to you or the server host.

~ { Resource Grind }~
☐ Nothing to Grind for
☑ Can AFK but need to grind a few things.
☐ Average
☐ Required and brutal.
☐ You're required to deforest and terraform everything for 8 hours to play 15 min.

- There's a slider for resources dropping and most things can be farmed by pals in base. You can pick how hard it is to get what you need to go out and play. Only things I have had to farm are oils, metal and crystal.

~{ Story }~
☐ No Story yet
☑ Some lore
☐ Average
☐ Good
☐ Lovely

There's notes left around. I have yet to fully follow or find them all but they are there.

~{ Game Time }~
☐ Long enough for a cup of the java
☐ Short
☐ Average
☑ Long

~{ Bugs }~
☑ Early Access Game
☑ Minor bugs
☐ Can get annoying
☐ ARK: Survival Evolved
☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugs

- Mixed, I have not had issues but I know people that have.

~{ Price }~
☑ Worth the price
☐ If you support the Devs
☐ If it's on sale
☐ Not recommended
☐ You could also just burn your money

This game has a long grind for each skill and is a long term investment into building up your character. The graphics and mechanics overall are good, controls are easy and intuitive.

PvP zones are being added to all PvE servers which will make it possible to contest and take the passive gathering nodes. Unless in one of the red light bordered zones you will not be flagged for PvP so it's still relatively safe for PvE players on the PvE servers, but a full lockdown of a passive gathering node is no longer possible.

For this game the biggest thing to keep in mind is skills are going to take time to level. If not connected to player level (at this time pre-relaunch you need to level each skill either afk at a bench or in the field) it will take at least 1-2 months to look at really maxing most skills. Some can be faster, but it is a time grind. Also, skill is not necessarily going to beat a skilled player. I've fought a group of Grand Prince 900 maxed players that lost in ground combat to a group of 700~800 skilled players because they got knocked to ground combat and couldn't take us on with tactics. Tactics and numbers can still sometimes win against a better geared and skilled player (but don't count on it, it is a rarity).

* Clarification has finally been given about old and new servers, for those looking to join the game on relaunch it will be on NEW servers that will not be accessible by old server characters. These are suppose to be completely new shards that will never have cross server transfers (Step in the correct direction given PvP).

For the moment they do have some micro-transactions. There is an option through their site to buy gacha style loot boxes for cosmetics with weapons, armors and building skins as well as execution animations. There is also a battle pass with some high value items on the board, however all of the high value items can be earned by other means in the game and much faster than off the pass.

*At this time my armor skins from the site are not showing on my character in game unless I am using the international edition.

* Still awaiting more info on further added buildings and waiting to see how they change the way things are handled however overall this seems a step in the correct direction.

*Regarding base raids. There IS an ability to set a timer in game and select times that are protected with donating resources, or using their cash shop 'gold coins'. For these protection timers you can choose times where your base will be vulnerable and these times should be when your guild would be most active. While it may still be possible to offline raid if someone isn't on during their vulnerable period once a guild's banner and timers have set (I believe there may be a week delay for being able to set protection timers) the risk of being offline raided is greatly reduced.

* The ability to change between PvP and PvE servers relatively freely (Costing more to move goods from PvE to PvP) is a unique ability that I appreciate. Yes, it allows developing characters, some goods and training animals in a safe location that can't be messed with - and I have seen people complain about this - it's a positive note that is overlooked sometimes. Being able to fall back to PvE to recover and play casually while having some PvP footprint is a unique ability in games like this. You currently have the choice to start as PvE, enjoy the game and learning the game on PvE if you want (Maybe never leaving it and just building PvE cities), while also being able to chose to go to PvP later on. On a full base wipe the players that were still on the server had given me a stable to recover my horses, a transport station and a market so I was able to go to PvE to play since my guild decided to take a break over holding a 4 man outpost on PvP pre-relaunch.

*Negative review tentatively changed to positive. I have heard reports that they are taking more actions against *all exploiters* unlike the issues I ran into seasons with my team being told the group that was meshing was only doing it 'defensively' despite video evidence the group was using it as an ambush location. There are still a lot of meshable and exploitable terrain features that cause issues, but the devs seem to be more responsive to reports based on what I have recently been told by other active players.

* Final point about the delay with MoE. While this does set the game's launch closer to other games that are coming out in the same genre, the delay is a good thing and should see the game in a better state than it currently is in with more testing possible and done by the community.

Played more than my level indicates, altaholic.

Pros:
* Community. Reddit, Steam, I'm sure there are other forums but in general most of the community is pretty friendly. To the point of might aggressively chase you down to give you free things. Ask for help and you shall get it.
* SCORE can be completed for free.
* Seasonal events are relatively easy if repetitive and drop some interesting plans and other things; there have been more events added to limited duration events that will cycle back over time.
* Updates are still ongoing for the game. New NPCs have been added mid to late last year.
* Plenty of story. Even pre-wastelanders and NPC return there are a lot of holotapes, notes and other things to stumble across that gave story and storyline to follow. Pre-wastelanders was slightly more depressing as all the breadcrumbs in story and notes ended with 'and then everyone died to giant angry mutated bats' / psychotic AI.
* Easy gameplay though your most challenging levels will be 25-50 in most cases. Generally players of all levels are welcome at the various events (Outside of Earl which is more end game and some players may be a bit upset if a low level shows to Earl as that is more limited on instance with that boss). The three nuke bosses being the exception to the 'easy' gameplay. - Community is usually willing to give direction on how to get ammo/resources to help with difficult levels etc.
* Pacifist exists. There is no forced / surprise PvP. A player can fully avoid all forms of PvP (except trap camps) by turning Pacifist on and not claiming workshops (though a player can safely pass through a workshop area if not contesting it, owning or being in party with the individual owning a workshop).
* In game event timers are predictable for when an event will show although it is random which of the events will spawn.
* Recent update where when joining most major events the loading screen tells the objectives of an event. Just in case it isn't fully clear.
* Push to talk for mic is an option, as is the option of muting players if needed.
* Camp you can personalize with collecting plans: Build budget is limited but there are a lot of very creative camps that keep within the limit. Everything from camps focused on resource and food production to ones that are social spots around.

The middle ground:
* SCORE recently started to have a handful of things locked behind FO1st on the score boards recently; while the FO1st locked items use to be consumables recently it has shifted to cosmetics as well.
* Bethesda does bring back most of the SCORE items into the atom shop over time so you can purchase with atoms.
* Most if not all of the Atom/FO1st items are convenience.
* If picky you can get much of the 'pay to pretty' items from the store over time. Very little of what is in the store is true 'pay to win'. It's pay to pretty and pay to convenience outside of FO1st which is Pay to Hoard.
* Bethesda stated they will be rebalancing weapons 'soon'. ( Some 'legacy' weapons that were over the top are being removed today and some legacies that were fine/were underpowered (melee stalkers) will be gone. )
* FO1st players can get their own private server with friends so they can avoid other players fully if not wanting to deal with them and wanting to just farm resources on a workshop etc.
* Modding is not supported but can be done. Everything from changing the world to have winter snow to changing shaders to restore the darker look to some areas to mods that enable text chat and further load out saves.
* Bank space is limited
* Currency cap is 40k / Scrip cap is 5k - 300 per day / Gold bullion cap is 400 per day (Never hit the actual bullion cap, not sure that there is one). Bag and currency management is a thing, it's useful to get to know the community and use reddit to trade higher value items later in game, and it is always worth double checking the cosmetic item drops you get for their value. Some high value items can drop from relatively low level events.
* Bag management. Usually not too bad but early on you will want to pay attention to it and what you're stashing/selling. The 1.2k stash limit creeps up quickly and items in stash will show weight based on your perks, not what it is actually taking up in stash so can be deceptive.

CONs:
* A few of the 'convenience / resource items are locked behind atoms. These are 'to get items you would farm otherwise faster' but still locked.
* Only charging station for Fusion cores & for exchanging ammo to get different kinds are locked behind atoms or a $ purchase (which yes, atoms can be earned, be frugal with those)
* Graphics lighting. For PC we can mod the game using reshade to bring back the deeper shadows in some areas but a few months ago Bethesda did a patch to add lighting sources to things that really degraded the graphics. Some areas that were relatively dark now glow in the dark.
* Regarding NPCs, some old corpses / 'new' corpses in certain areas seem out of place given the people resettling the area. Certain things were swept aside so they no longer existed and some of the ones in early level areas and the like that are decaying but not skeletons are now very much out of place if viewed with the idea of the settlers returning and how long/recent it is suppose to be since the scorched destroyed everything with the first wave of settlers.
* PvP battle royale mode with Nuclear Winter was removed from game making some old cosmetic items fully unobtainable. Servers with no 'passive' mode were removed fully so all PvP is only on servers with Pacifist options to fully avoid PvP.
* No text chat for the deaf. Text chat has been requested since near launch.
* Took almost 4 years to finally look at the weapon rebalance with the 'legacy' weapons which caused more drama than it was worth in the community.
* Camp limits for the personal housing are sometimes too limiting. The build menu/mode was more or less carried over from FO4.
