It is a great game to play.... with friends and I cannot stress this enough.

Playing with friends or a group is fun especially since there is not voice in the game. Discord or a voice server can be used but it does remove a little bit from the game. Mainly because I'm a horrible liar when I talk. With text chat I have a chance.

Otherwise people quit all the time if they do not get to be an imposter in the round. Start a round with random people online and about 5 to 8 people are guaranteed to quit out in the beginning of the round... It is really annoying. Like playing with whiny kids that quit if they do not get their way...

The game itself is awesome but the online community is toxic.

It is fun and decent multiplayer. Don't pay full price though.

I will not choose an option for the recommendation, and hold judging me until the end for the reason why.

If you like Animal Crossings or any game in the same genre, then this game is for you. Cutsie avatars, decorating, collecting items, fishing collecting bugs to sell. Just like Animal Crossings.

If you are not a fan of those types (like me) you will be completely bored out of your mind. The game constructing mechanism is confusing and offers no guides except looking online. I bought this game thinking it would be like minecraft, but was dissapointed. There are no hostile mobs and your character gets tired, That is the only reason you need to sleep. Also sleeping brings up a loading screen for all players regardless if they want to or not.

My recommendation and I repeat:

YAY Animal Crossings = YAY Staxel
Meh Animal Crossings = ZzzzzzzZzzzzzz Staxel

It made me choose yes or no, but it was only to post this review. I chose "yes" because it is an early access and full of bugs. I might revisit it in the future. However, I didn't like Staxel. But others may if they like that genre. I wish they had a neutral.

Broken Gameplay..

Defeat an enemy and I have to reload the game to be able to move my character again. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall but have had no luck. No fix in sight. Also no way to make it a standard resolution for a wide screen monitor. So the characters on screen appear to have had a great aunt pinch and stretch their cheeks but instead missed and grabbed this game. They brought back but destroyed a great game.

Cool concept, but after an hour of playing I was completely bored of it. It is not as exciting as the trailer shows it to be.
