Game is pretty great and visually appealing. I'm so happy for Conradical Games to get the game back under their wings entirely after their dev screwed them over. I cannot wait for the sequel.

The game is interesting all around with the aspect of the Cassettes and the world that was crafted for them. The plot, what bit I did play singleplayer before finding out about a multiplayer update and not wanting to get too far without playing with a friend, was also highly interesting. Though there's one caveat that kills this entirely for me now.

Not being able to fight with your friend in story mode is a waste of potential. The framework for battling co-op is there with the local co-op. Just have the friend replace the companion in the fight while the companion is there for story purposes. Being restricted to just rogue fusions is stupid and lazy when this update could've been so much better. If its a balancing issue, they already have the difficulty sliders that help provide harder challenges.

I'll change my review to positive once they add a multiplayer co-op support for battles through the story.

This game is a narrative gold mine that uses a unique sense of 4th wall 'Time Travel' to tell a narrative in a tree structure that ultimately ends with the truth and best ending of the game. I've never been more compelled to complete a narrative game where when you arrive and get to one conclusion, it opens up with so many more questions that have you back tracking to find the answers and it all wraps up marvelously with its true ending (sided with a couple of joke endings that made me laugh). The 6.3 hours I spent playing this game from start to finish may sound like a short time to play a game, but the storytelling immersed me into the world with loveable characters and it felt like so much longer. I highly recommend this game.

One of the best MMOs out there. Subscription based unfortunately but its totally worth it with how much you are able to do in this game with its many classes, races, quests, raids, dungeons, overworld missions, and more. Customization is amazing with endless possibilities for outfits and appearances.

Fun

Be ready to mute kids but otherwise this is a great game to play with friends.
