Just came back after never getting past level 10, and the game holds up like a gem. Amazing environmental story telling. The campaign alone is worth the investment. Still would reccommend, especially to new players. Once I complete the story, unlock the full map, run through some of the DLC content, I'll be on my way to joining the community in the Division 2. Massive has earned a new fan of this world.

Cutting all the subpar open world ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from 15, making the combat more action oriented based around Eikon affinity rather than weapon type, and a MUCH better story/ dialogue/ character development make FF16 redeem Final Fantasy after the bad taste 15 left in my mouth.

Not perfect by any means, the RPG elements feel like they were added in at the last stage of development and serve no purpose which is a huge shame, but a solid 8/10 for me.

Its like Space Marine 2 but in Fantasy.

Update (5.6.2024) - Looks like freedom prevailed and the commies folded as they always do! We shall continue spreading democracy and sweet liberty with our fellow Helldivers!

At this time (5.5.2024), I cannot in good faith recommend this game. I cannot leave my fellow Helldivers, fellow citizens of Super Earth, to be demoted to non-citizen status by the treasonous communist loving corporation that is Sony. Until my fellow Helldivers get reinstated back to spreading democracy and liberty, do not support this game and its commie overlords over at Sony.

A bear spawned within the first minute and killed half my village. Would explore the Farthest Frontier again.

The most fomo based, anti-consumer online game on the market. Go play any other online/MMO game and your time will be more valued.

Founder here. Unfullfilled promises so far. Cannot reccommend until the open world (aparently never now?) version is released. Its a lobby shooter trying to compete with Battlefield, CoD, Overwatch, etc. It doesn't stand a chance. The mellee system is a breath of fresh air, but its other mechanics are not solid enough to pull peoples time away from those other shooters. If it actually launched with the open world (e.g. Planetside) it would have been a huge success since PS2 is all but dead thanks to p2w pricing and there isn't any other choice on the market. Just.....dissapointed. :(

Bar none the most polished, entertaining, deep, and replayable 4x hex-based strategy game I have ever played. A MUST buy!
