Played since 2016 since before bdo was added to steam. It is a shell of what it once was. Those of us who grinded for dream horses, gear, alchemy stones, ships, so on and so forth, are having our progress spat on. Instead of having people earn their gear, they are giving away end game gear for just signing in. I earned my pegasus after a year long grind, and in a few months they were giving them away for free. The economy is in ruins because of all the high level gear that is being sold, for example, it used to cost 24m silver to buy a premium outfit off the market, last i logged on, it is 200m silver, its probably higher now. I enjoyed the grind, but now that they are desperate to keep players, they are throwing high end gear around like it's dollars at a strip club. As far as I am concerned, bdo has irreversibly damaged itself beyond repair, and though I wish I could reccomend it, I simply can not. It was one of the best.

Bad devs ruined the game.

Edit : Against my better judgment, I decided to give the game another try.

They are giving out tier 10 horses. The biggest flex you could possibly have, and it's a login reward. Premium costumes now cost 2 billion silver. Stay away.

Artificially difficult. Bosses have astronomical health pools and have 10+ hit AOE attacks that 2 shot you with feints and poor telegraphing. Tedious unfun gameplay in an empty world. We deserve better.

The best way to describe it is as a mix between hades and vampire survivor. For all intents and purposes, it's an almost-afk hades. I love it so far, and I'm excited for act two!
