Bought this game at launch and it was unplayable then.
Redownloaded it to see if it has been improved any only to be unable to play due to a "Authorization token failed".
Considering how widespread this issue is, the developers do not want people to play this game but wont remove the listing from Steam. I guess they like seeing the red 'Mostly Negative' next to their title like a badge of honor.

If you are looking for a continuation of GunZ: The Duel, please note not to get your hopes completely up. GunZ 2: The Second Duel added upgraded visuals, sounds, weapons, classes and accessories. Also the addition of Matchmaking was added. But at the same time things have been removed or changed for better or for worse.
*PLEASE NOTE* This is based off what I have seen, I am not out to bash the game as it is still early access. Don't let this review put you off towards playing it for yourself and seeing whether or not you appreciate the changes.

Matchmaking - Getting paired against people who are over 15 levels higher than you is to be expected (If your fresh to the game). And by that time you going to see that even with high skill level, someone who has full gear sets and is used to the game is going to prove to be a difficult challenge to kill.
Host lobbies can be hit or miss. Sometimes they are playable and others it is just a mess. When opening the score board and looking at you ping rate seems to just be a lost cause. I have been in lobbies where everyone is 30/40ping and the game is unplayable for all.

Classes – The adding in classes was a cool idea, however not being able to switch after you made your choice is really frustrating. In order to get a different class you need to pay for them. And certain classes have certain class specific weapons and gear. Unlike the previous Gunz, you cant just switch to a gun or armor set depending on how you want to play that day, but you need to purchase and level up other characters. I guess they did this so you have more to work towards, (which can improve game life) However not being able to switch classes without paying disables the F2P feature.

Weapons + Gear – Weapons look and sound cool, and are based more off real weapons. There is a good variety that don’t look exactly like another model which is nice, but it is still Early Access so there will probably be a bigger selection in the future. There are no entry guns though, meaning as you level up you chose what statistic you want higher on your gun, not just an overall better gun. So the price for everything is the exact same. No really everything is 15,000 Gold. So the feel of advancing just isn't as in depth or exhilarating.

Visuals – Visuals are excellent especially for a F2P. Some of the maps that were brought back don't look as nice though. The Gothic feel of Mansion is gone and is just to much yellow. And the character model scales seem to be off a bit (I think your shorter than you should be compared to the maps :P ). But the game plays smooth and looks great.

Gameplay – Now this is where it comes to completely opinion base and whether or not you like or dislike the changes. Dash has been nerfed, no more sword climb, and sword battles seem to be more about standing still and spamming left click. I feel as if the block system needs fixing as I can never seem to deflect an opponents attack, or maybe its a connection thing. Moving around seems clunky in battle and is hard to tell if your hitting an opponent or not. (GunZ: The Duel, you would get a sound indicator and the word HIT would appear) Overall I think they didn't focus on sword gameplay as much as the game is called GunZ after all. But Sword Styled gameplay was probably the biggest factor of the first game and it will be missed as time goes on.

Overall this game is more of a take off of the previous game and doesn't mirror a lot of the old features. But the game is still worth a try. Hope this helps!

What do you do for an amazing one of a kind RTS game that is getting a sequel? You destroy it. Thats how. Take out the great parts of the first game, change features that shouldn't be changed in the first place. Oh, and also destroy the A.I. I wonder how this game would have been if THQ did not go under. Bad Game is Bad...
