Early Access Review
Besides the longer than usual startup time, this game works perfectly on Steam Deck!

Honestly more fun than Hollow Knight when it comes to the boss battles, mainly due to the added dash parrying and unparriable attacks. Having to react with the proper dodge/counter in a timely manner is so satisfying. The level design is well done too.

There is platforming makes full use of all the different movement options you have available. Plenty of optional side paths and hidden treasures too for people who like exploring. The best part is probably the multiple shortcuts + warp points that are available so you don't have to worry about dealing with tons of backtracking like other metroidvanias.

Overall, a great game that I'm happy to recommend to others.

Couldn't get the game to work on my PC or Steam Deck no matter what I did. The few times it did work, I was not able to connect to any servers properly despite having a stable connection and good internet speeds.

Well worth the money! The game works perfectly on Steam Deck!
The platforming is challenging enough to keep you on your toes while not being frustrating. Although, this isn't your typical platformer since you can walk on walls and ceiling at your leisure which allows for more engaging level design and gameplay. Every level feels unique and memorable because of how each of the mechanics interact with one another in interesting ways. My favourite levels are the ones with the Thunder Booster combined with the portals. Despite being a work in progress, both the visuals and sound effects are satisfying to listen to and look at. Especially when you collect all the coins in a level.

Overall, I highly recommend this game. It costs less than a visit to a fast-food place yet will entertain you for at least 6 hours. =)

Season 3 is now out! Matchmaking is better than ever and there are even more courses to race in. More free costumes added to the store as well for those looking for something new to work towards!

The game works flawlessly on Steam Deck and doesn't use much battery despite how well it looks so it's perfect for playing on the go as well.

It's one of those games that gives you that "Just let me play a little longer!" type of feeling. It's such a satisfying feeling when you pull off a large dash combo into other players to boost yourself into first place It's easy to learn the basics yet hard to master the proper timing.

Queuing for matches usually takes 10-30 seconds and the max lobby is 30 which may seem small but any more players would cause the raceway to be too chaotic. All purchases are purely cosmetic and even then, it is easy to get currency for them. The Battle Pass pays for itself and is very affordable especially with all the gems you get from achievements.

This is a fun retro styled game that is a reference to multiple different old animes and games. The sprite work is very well done and the music is memorable. The top-down gameplay is simple yet effective. It is mostly based on fighting enemies while timing your slashes and rolls/dodges properly to avoid damage while attacking since rolls have a large cooldown. The Mecha Battles are the highlight of this game. You will have to shoot down enemies and their projectiles while predicting their attacks to properly parrying them with your block. They can be difficult yet very satisfying to pull off once you get the hang of them. The game may be a bit short but it is enjoyable for what it is.

The Steam Deck handles this game perfectly out of the box and can be completed 100% with no issues whatsoever.

A Simple Yet Satisfying Bullet Hell

The premise for this game is that you are an agent who destroys enemies and disarms traps using special powers that can affect both the environment and enemy bullets alike. Along with those special powers, you can also unlock 12 weapons after several missions which adds variety to the way you tackle different situations.

The gameplay is very thrilling once you get accustomed to utilising special powers while shooting and dodging. There is nothing more satisfying than using Telekinesis to launch a block and shooting it mid-air to destroy that one enemy that you wouldn't have been able to hit normally. All the levels introduce new enemies, traps, and layouts so all of them feel new and unique.

Despite being a Bullet Hell, the difficulty curve is perfect to the point where it is both accessible to newcomers but also difficult enough to provide a challenge for Bullet Hell experts. The difficulty settings also add replayability since the higher settings allow you to unlock costumes for your character which is always nice.

Overall, Physical Layer is a blast to play and I recommend it to anyone looking for an action-packed experience.

A Cool Premise That is Executed Well!

To put it simply, you are an adventurer streaming your first official adventure while people comment about events, environments around you, and even battles. Your job is to choose the best responses for these comments which leads to unique benefits. This reply system helps keep the game engaging throughout your entire journey.

The most enjoyable aspect of the game is the enemy encounters. The battles are in active time so your actions have a waiting time depending on the strength which in turn, gives you time to reply to people's comments. You get unique benefits for perfect responses like faster actions, unique buffs, and special actions. Balancing out perfect replies on viewers' reactions, the enemies actions, and your waiting times is the key to success. (Especially in later encounters and bosses)

My only drawback is the game's length since there is still so much unexplored potential with the combat system and exploration. More dungeons with active gimmicks and expanded battle mechanics would make this game practically perfect.

I tried my best to like this game but I can't suggest this game even if I wanted to. While the nostalgic aesthetics and vaporwave soundtrack may catch your eye in the first half, the game ends up falling painfully short by the second half. The most prominent issues in the game are the softlocks/bugs that can potentially end your playthrough short, the repetitive sidequests, and the lack of overall direction.

The story is non-existent and the player's main motivation for "browsing the internet" is the wacky characters and their sidequests. This wouldn't be too bad if the sidequests weren't mainly just "collect X amount of objects" and if the characters had more to them besides forgettable jokes that fell flat. The lack of direction from the sidequests made it easy to get lost or sequence break the game which lead to the bugs mentioned earlier which is big problem when you are already 8 hours into the game. (Which is why my playtime is 20 hours instead of 10.)

If you really want to see what this game has to offer, you are better off watching a walkthrough. You get to experience all the good parts of the game (music/environment) without having to worry about running into glitches or slowly backtracking through worlds you have already gone through in search of that one item you need to move on.

I can leave a review on this game that I don't own apparently.
I guess I'll just summarise what most other reviews said.

Basically, this game was great to play when there were people online to play around with. The teamplay is solid, the gunplay is satisfying, and the PVE is fun to mess around with. A great choice for people who are fans of WWII games. Unfortunately, the game's playerbase gradually descended over time and there is hardly any players left now. If you are able to find people or have enough friends who can join, you will have a good time.

It seems like most people recommend this game if it is on sale mainly due to low player counts. Otherwise, it seems like a good purchase as long as you are a fan of FPS games and don't mind playing against AI instead of actual players.
