what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending. GoT-esque ending even. sucks because the animation and the pixelart is top tier. the writers, though, felt like they just used chatgpt.

very grim. very short. very cool.

never in my life has an ending left me more confused about how i should feel about it.

on one hand, it feels like mark and nicole were destined to be together. literally. and for it to end like that left an initially sour taste in my mouth.

on the other hand, the true ending is the best ending for the characters themselves. nobody dies and everyone ends up happy. it can also be interpreted in more than one way and, if you're like me and smoke on that copium pack, you can delude yourself into thinking that maybe their respective dates were just a chance for them to meet up naturally, and they end up together either way.

i still don't know whether i love or hate the true ending, but i'm glad i played through it. stopping at the first ending would not make this experience even 10% as impactful imo. either way a masterpiece and probably one of the best games i'll ever play.
