There is a pretty good game under all the garbage, but EA seems pretty keen on shoveling dirt in my face at every chance they get.

Been waiting for this for a long time but ultimately it disappoints. The strategic element is limited, outside of baiting the monsters around with a character while another picks up stuff to bring to the car (usually one thing at the time) every other solution just creates more problems, making for a pretty unfun gameplay loop that feels more like busywork.

DOOM delivers on it's gory premise with a singleplayer no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ campaign that is pure gameplay.
Narrative gets literally shoved aside as the Doom Marine jumps into his demon ripping business.
An instant classic and a great homage to a genre defining game from our past.
