Got the game, played for about two hours, enjoyed myself, tried to log in the next morning, "unable to establish a connection to the game", three days later and after many resets, retries and re-installs, "Unable to establish a connection to the game". Don't buy it until they fix it, do not reward them for releasing a broken game, force them to fix it with your wallet

Incredible potential that is forever marred by the curse of the live service gaming industry.
Darktide's core game play loop is, Do mission, buy gear, do mission, buy gear, which is pretty bad. The actual game play itself is well done, The melee has that vermintide polish, and the gun play is pretty solid as well and the maps look great, and the music is by far the best part of this game.
However, I cant in good conscience recommend this game to anyone right now at the current price for a few reasons.

1) Although the maps are beautiful. they are about as diverse as the Disney executive board, its all set in the one hive city, and its all corridors and the occasional open space, compare that to vermintide 1-2's diverse map options from forests to villages to full on cities and cathedrals or dark dank caves, looking at darktides 3 options the rich City, the favela city, and the religious city, and the workshop area. that's really all there is, my hope is they add more as there are hints in the dialogue of a second hive city that may have more diversity to it.

2) its the exact same enemies over and over, there are 3 boss types in the game, the monstrosites which are the Chaos Beast, the Beast of Nurgle, and the plague ogryn, there are the assassination missions, but to call those bosses is just wrong, they are re skins of one of the elite enemies called the Mauler they just have an energy shield to stop you from melting them instantly. its the same basic forces, the same elites mission after mission, now I am not gonna pretend that vermintide didn't suffer the same problem, but they also had a reason, they where specifically the skaven race, hence the name "vermintide", Darktide is in a unique position, where the enemies are humans corrupted by the chaos god Nurgle, who is to say that more couldn't be added, more Nurgle style demons or goblins, or even another god trying to butt in.

3) The cosmetics are trash, the warhammer franchise is the absolute last world in which I should be saying that, its got over
40 years of figures, books and art showing some of the most amazing looking gear ive ever seen in any franchise, however I am of the opinion that the free cosmetics are trash for a reason, and that is to get you to fork over money to buy in game currency to then buy the "Premium Cosmetics" from the shop, they even use the same live service predatory trick of saying "you can buy this currency pack of 2000 currency for 15 dollars, if you do, you get a bonus of 500 currency" as a way to incentivise you to pay.

4) The gear "crafting" is incredibly predatory, and used to force you to play the game longer, to get gear you need to go to the shop and hope that they A) have the weapon you want and B) its got good stat rolls, you can bypass part A by buying the specific weapon you want, but you still have to deal with part B. Lets say you get ultra lucky and get the weapon you want with good stats, now you have to upgrade it and hope that you get A) Good Perks and B) good blessings, both of which are RNG based and Incredibly unlikely, But lets say you have good stats and you don't get the perks or blessings you want, "that's OK, because the crafting lets you change them yourself" except it doesn't, not really, there are 2 perks and 2 blessings per weapon, you can continue to re-roll 1 perk until you get what you want, but it locks you out of re-rolling the other for some reason, stopping you from actually "crafting" the weapon you want, Blessings are arguably worse, you can change the blessing, but to something you have already got on another of the same weapon and the highest tier of the perks are so rare that at 60+ hours in with 2 max level characters, I have yet to see a level 4 blessing, and just like perks, once you change one blessing, the other locks, again stopping you from crafting what you want. not to mention, all of this, the upgrading and the re-rolling or changing, all of it costs an obscene amount of crafting materials that you have to spend hours grinding missions for on the chance you may find some laying around, you don't get any from boss kills or elite kills, only by finding it like you would ammo.
TL:DR = The gameplay is great, the gameplay loop is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Unplayable despite the Day 1 Patch, I am around half way through the game, and I cannot do anything, the game crashes every 5 minutes, not to mention that despite having a 3060 and a Ryzen 5600 4 core and a 120hz monitor, I cant maintain anything above 40 fps, other than the really bad optimization, the game is fun, the new stances are great, the combat is just as good, if not better than fallen order. and despite only being halfway through the game, I find the story engaging and very "Star Wars", and I hope they fix this rather broken mess sometime soon so that I can enjoy it to its fullest, but until its optimized I don't recommend buying this game on PC

It has the feel of an Arkham game but none of the polish, for example, a key traversal mechanic and a whole skill tree of basic arkham mechanics are locked behind a side quest/challenge that you have to do with each character.
even with my 3060, i still experience some pretty strong frame drops, especialy when riding on the bike. however I find the characterization and story pretty captivating so far and the combat is very simple and repetitive if you stick to just one character.
The game looks pretty good, and the crime system is more interesting than the Playstations spiderman.
The gear system is strange and probably needs a rework and the transmog system needs an explanation and probably a rework as well.
Considering its an online game, i imagine the devs will work on it, but dont let this put you off from giving it a try. the game is fun and deserves at least a try.
Dont buy the dlc, its a waste of money, if you MUST have it, wait until its on sale

Aside from issues that have plauged modern Yu-Gi-Oh for the last few years, I think this is a great game for all players, for new school competitive players to old school veterans, the only downside I can find is that if you wish to duel other players, you only really have one option, which is ranked, you can do duel rooms with friends but if your like me and your a solo player, you really just have ranked, which is a pretty big issue because you HAVE to play a Meta deck to stand a chance, Ive built a passable blue eyes deck, an optimal toon deck and you really would be lucky to pull yourself out of silver with that, The only non meta deck that I found could stand on its own was Gravekeepers and thats because it was designed to counter the meta.
TL:DR The game has its issues but its absolutly worth giving a shot
