An amazingly charming detective game, albeit way too short for my liking. I just really want more cases, especially as DLC or the like.

The voice acting is all amazing; each character was just over the top with their personas which made them memorable.

The artistic direction is also amazing with the paper cut-out look alongside the 3rd isometric stage.

Overall loved it! I hope to see more Duck detective adventures!

So to preface, I really love the concept of this game, and it was really fun while I played it. Dog fighting with dragons? What could go wrong?

Well, despite being a really memorable concept, the gameplay itself isn't.
Whenever you play a good game (or even a bad one), there are key moments that you'd remember. Times when you felt like something was really stupid or really cool or both.

My problem is that this game does not have memorable moments. I cannot remember any specific moments, even if I just had a good run in a match minutes ago. I flew a dragon, I killed some other riders.
I don't remember how, aside from recalling the "Fireball is left click", and flying around.
The matches themselves are very short, so I would say it's a nice game to pick up and play for 15 minutes or so, and then do something else.

While my hours played is short, generally I'd already have a memorable moment by now, even if it's something small. I just don't with this game.

While a lot of reviews seem to be quite positive, I don't think I enjoyed this as much. This expansion gave us base building and a bunch of new equipment to craft/find. However, my big issue is that despite this DLC giving us 'Barrier' (Which is like magical protection); it hardly gave any weapons or armor that is remotely useful for mages. Thus we're stuck with base game mage equipment (or rust lich from soroboreans DLC)

The new monsters are unreasonably powerful imo. Their abilities and defenses really made a lot of nice builds just completely useless since they just chop through protection armor, so RIP melee heavy armor builds until you get some form of barrier. I found magic to be quite weak against them too.
Unlike the base game where you could feel a real sense of power progression. ie. beating the crud out of bandits after getting some fresh new gear. I'm not quite seeing it in this DLC.

Additionally, the monsters don't have very much of a clear telegraph for their attacks; but that's been a problem since this game was released. It's just exacerbated because they do an awful lot of damage, and/or cause statuses that can't be easily dealt with (and they have a really long duration. ie. petrification)

Base building was a little out of left field for me, and it felt like the Devs just decided 'Here, you can help us world build!' Also the mechanics for building is awful; as said by my co-op partner. It'd be nicer if you just had a birds eye view of the map to build buildings, instead of having the run around and find out the floor is slightly not level enough for you to build there.
Overall, unimpressed by that.

As for exploration, there's still a lot of just emptiness to the world. Sure there's ruins and whatnot, but.. there's just nothing in them. No notes, no lore. Empty.
As a loot goblin, it made me sad whenever I'd walk into a room with literally nothing, not even decor.

Overall; I really didn't like this DLC, so I don't recommend it.

I've always enjoyed mauling people to death.
But now I can do that in a game!
