I was following this game for a while, had it neatly tucked in my wishlist, waiting for the perfect discount. Spring comes! bam! I buy the game I have been waiting on for so long!
And am thoroughly disappointed. It's marked 'Mostly Positive' so I thought it would be such a vibrant, exciting experience.
But it's empty. The world feels dead, the NPCs have NO interesting interactions, always repeating the same things over and over (they don't even interact with each other.)
The days go by blearily and a lot of the critter items (bugs and fish) look similar.
It's such a shame, the concept is nice. But it's just that, a concept that failed at it's execution.

All the positive reviews made me think this would be a delightful treat.

it was pretty bad. I could only stand it for a couple of minutes and BEFORE the dev comes for me (as I have seen them do in other negative reviews) I am very into femdom, and specifically bought this hoping it would quench my thirst in the Sahara dessert that is porn games where women are dominant for once.
It didn't.
Graphics are terrible, animations are rigid. At one point the music during the intro straight up didn't loop.
The first thing upon booting up the game is an awfully designed loading screen. It literally looks like stock free images (it's a mishmash of different colors and images, completely incoherent. I wish Stream would let us attach images to reviews.), and all of the menu words are in masked-over cursive, except for 'controls', which is in a normal mono font for some reason.
There is no way to customize the size of your tiny ui, so I hope you have a magnifying glass.

Oof and don't get me started with the gameplay. The 'tutorial' doesn't teach you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It's like press these buttons to do specific things. And that's it, which technically would suffice, if it actually included important buttons like interacting with things, instead of buttons that do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NOTHING.
The game emphasizes on a 'combat system' but you can't really fight. At all. It's hard to explain in text, but basically you can punch the air, and struggle. That's it. All of your enemies will be spinning, jumping back, doing drill combo attacks and you are completely helpless. (By the way, the game sets you up to immediately lose a fight in the beginning, after it emphasizes how important exp is.)
It would be better to scrap the combat system entirely. It's pointless, and just makes the game an absolute drag to get through.
There are other annoying, tedious things in the game mechanics but, would you like to play 'pay rent' simulator? Because you need to pay rent. In your fantasy game.

Anyways, it's only saving grace, and this is a stretch, is that it's funny sometimes. The jokes are hit or miss though. For example, in the beginning of the game, the dev(?) asks which difficulty you would like to play. If you choose anything other than hard, you the player, are insulted, and then informed there aren't actually any difficulty settings.
I immediately knew from that snarky dialogue alone that this game was going to be a steaming pile.

I just hope my refund goes through. I bought this overpriced game on sale for $11 instead of the actual full $35, and even then I want my money back. My god.

I love bugs, so I was ecstatic to play this. There are some inaccuracies that I'm nitpicky about (like the Antlion getting out of their sandtrap to chase) but it isn't world ending.
Sometimes the game can be buggy, mainly with glitched dew drops and insects getting stuck on places or things, but it isn't buggy enough that it ruins the gameplay in anyway. I enjoy it thoroughly.

The game being free now is just a way to get more people dragged into this longterm scam. Things that should have been in the base game are behind a paywall (parenthood, pets, laundry, nails, etc.) and anything new that comes out is usually going to be tossed behind that paywall as well. New clothes? Items? Actions? Get it in a new pack for $20!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. For that reason alone the customization runs super thin and is pretty ass, you would be better off modding the game instead for new ♥♥♥♥. Or in fact, time is better used to wait for life simulator alternatives that aren't trying to swallow your bank account whole over scraps in their broken ass game. For example, Paralives. Literally just do yourself a favor and wait for Paralives, go support their development instead. Or if you really are impatient like me, get this game and mod it to Hell and back until something better comes out. Don't feed this greedy ♥♥♥♥.

I got way too attached to my dinosaurs. Agreeing with everyone else on wanting more decoration, but otherwise great game. Hoping maybe we can also make some hybrid dinos via breeding for some extra spice

This game kept me going during some very dark times full of loss. I don't think I'll say much further than that, it is an experience that you should play for yourself. It's such an emotional game that will make you laugh and cry, and possibly even reminisce on your own life.
