Never heard about Valheim until it popped up in my Steam store page.
I saw the first trailer and I was hooked.
I saw the second trailer and heard the song "Shield Wall" by Amon Amarth and thought to myself "Okay, I'm in".
I have been playing for a couple of days now and this game is truly amazing. You can explore, craft and build at your own pace. The game gives a first-class sense of progression. It is not too difficult (it may be too soon to tell though) but it can be challenging.
The world is procedurally generated and it is massive, there are plenty of items too. All of this contained in just one GB of space.
Valheim is still an early access game (by the time of this review) but it is capable of giving you a fully fledged gaming experience, something which is hard to find even in modern triple-A titles.
In conclusion, this game is a lot of fun and personally I don't even mind tasks such as chopping wood, mining and farming which can be perceived as repetitive.
I wholeheartedly recommend buying this game (it costs less than 20 $/€!) so you can support the developers as I already did, because I want more and you probably will too.
I am pretty sure you will not be disappointed.
