For anyone wondering how you can get the unlocked memory usage. you can go and manually download the 64bit version of Tmodloader from the Terraria Forum. then put all those files into the steam Tmodloader's directory. Steam will automatically load up the 64 bit version if done correctly.

With that out of the way, terraria Vanilla has been a game i've played, and replayed occasionally for quite some time now, and Tmodloader was a staple for the latter portion of that till 1.4 launched. What with great, and meaty content mods such as Calamity, Thorium, or Or Spirit mod all adding practically thier own entire content patches to the game. It helped keep the game alive for myself and so many others. I can't recommend Tmodloader enough in terms of how much the community has done to show thier own love and appreciation for the game and it's devs.
The fact that the devs supported tmodloader in their last hurrah of the vanilla game shows that they know the community will continue to keep life breathing into it for years to come.

Tl;dr: If you love terraria, and want more to bite into, Tmodloader is made for just that.
