Most of the connection issues have been fixed at the time of writing, that aside, this is the second best Gundam game I have played (first is Breaker 2), the mobile suits are fun to control and the weapons feel realistic, taking time between each shot and having to move your entire mobile suit to block is an interesting concept. If you lose your mobile suit you can play as the pilot and capture checkpoints that barely give you points, I feel like for such a vital piece of the game (checkpoints let you spawn at different areas of the map) they shouldn't give 100 points tops, defeating an enemy mobile suit gives you 525 (500 for the suit and 25 for the pilot) so there's not really any incentive to get out and grab checkpoints unless you have someone backing you up. Overall the game is fun but matchmaking can take a while.
