Got some issues with the perspective changes ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me over and there being a tad too much backtracking in the first half but all in all, the best RE1 styled indie game I've played.

Basically just a Ubisoft game published by Bethesda except it might somehow be even more boring that those.
Oh well at least it doesn't have microtransactions.

Absolutely fantastic game with some of the strongest atmosphere i've ever seen, it very clearly had a ton of soul and passion put into it and is obviously a very personal game to Kira.
On top of that the gameplay really unique and, outside of some hitboxes being really weird when using ranged weapons, feels really good.

God i wish they made another game like this but alas, they won't

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the art in this game is incredible, it ain't the longest, the most complex but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, does it look amazing. Not to say that the gameplay's bad, it's not, it's on the simpler side but still really good.

Cute lil game where you kill mfers by throwin stuff at em, also you can sacrifice the cut lil waterbirds to the SatanBridge.

Neat short platformer, cool exploration and secret hunting, pretty simple game all in all.

Souldiers isn't as easy as a game to review as other recent metroidvanias, it's not well balanced, took me hours to manage to make my ps4 controllers work with it, it feels overly long at times and some of the themes it tackles in the different areas are quite generic, yet it's a great game.
The art is fantastic, the combat is really tight and interesting, the music is amazing, the 3 classes play entirely differently thus offering a ton of replayability.
In the end I can't recommend this game unless you're really ok with putting up with the issues it has as they're unavoidable and often really bothersome, if you can tho you'll find a very interesting experience made by very talented people who, I'm certain, will do much better on the next game with what they've learned here.

Really original metroidvania which, while relatively simple compared to many others, offers a completely unique experience with some fantastic exploration and some extra game modes if you want a bit more.
