Worth The Price?: If you have any interest in the genre or wish FPS games were good again, absolutely worth it

PROS:
-Game play is everything it should be and more
-Excellent level design, keeps the game progression interesting
-Well rounded arsenal fit for any situation the game throws at you
-Rewarding non-linear exploration SO MANY SECRETS
-Perfect balance between action/horror feel
-Sound design, killer sound track and atmosphere bring the game to life
-3 whopping chapters to play through, more game then expected

CONS:
-Boss fights are somewhat disappointing, they are over before they begin
-David pls make more retro FPS ty

I had high expectations coming into DUSK based on all the positive reviews, I was not disappointed. Everything a retro FPS should have is here with all the polish you would expect from a modern game. I've put in 10.5 hours and I am just over half way done chapter 2 while trying to be as much of a completionist as I can, which is great cause that's already more game then I thought DUSK would offer! You'll not want to excuse this intrusion..

An Abandoned Town of Secrets and Twists all Waiting to be Unravelled

Worth The Price?: For the amount of thought and work that went into pulling this mystery together, its a reasonable price. But this probably stands out as a game that would be more enticing on sale.

PROS:
-Overall great tone & atmosphere
-Keeps you guessing right up until the end
-Very well thought out story
-Most realistic detective experience iv'e had
-A no hand hold experience, done right
-Hard to stop playing once you dive into it all
-Thank you for not adding jump scares, they had opportunity and I am very glad they didn't take that route! The subtle way they handle the spookyness is perfect!

CONS:
-Certain points can be hard to know what to do next, feeling frustrated and wandering may cause you to seek out a guide
-Needs an in game note pad or character files, camera is a nice addition however
-The silly road drain hunt was far to tedious and felt like a chore compared to everything else in the game
-Not necessarily a con but some doors / containers seem like they can be opened, however they cannot and you can only truly know by consulting the internet

Overall I was very satisfied with this game, I didn't know how badly I wanted a detective experience like this one. I would love to see more of this genre from the developers, they clearly have a handle on how to create a great mystery and ambience. More focus on world building and becoming more experienced with the game engine to make the world feel more alive would really be all that needs to be improved upon for this genre to really take off and make a mark. Keep up the great work EQ, now what are you waiting for? grab a notepad and get to work detective!
