I love Star Trek, I enjoy Stellaris... this game is perfect for me. This is a Star Trek first, Stellaris second type of game. IMO, Stellaris can be too deep for more casual play. However, Star Trek Infinite avoids that by focusing on the Star Trek experience.

The devs have talked about continuing development, including additional crisis and playable major powers.

Early Access Review
A solid iteration on the Battle Royale genre with a Mad Max aethitic.

The vehicles and the unique storm mechanics create a much more mobile experience than other BR games. Vehicle noise and the need to be constantly moving helps make for more active matches. Keep your vehicle fueld, repaired, and geared, or steal someone elses, and you'll have cover, mobile inventory, and easy movement to the next circle, even if it's through the storm.

The game is early access, so there are some bugs and balance issues. But compared to other games in the genre, the bugs I've encountered are not nearly as common, game breaking, or frustrating.

The best crew-based game just got better. The PvE mode is consistantly challanging, and the modes and maps are diverse enough that this feels like a new game. Alliance still has the same great post-apocalyptic steampunk aesthetic, the same rewarding need to communicate and coordinate, and the same friendly and patient community.

Intense, overwhelming at times. It is so effective at showing the problems with modern war games that I'm surprised it was made. It uses every trick and trope to make the player question why they play this genre.

Portrays the US Military in a positive, heroic light. The player, not so much.

10/10 would commit suicide again
