Pain and suffering await hours long investments

Mods can only help a good game be better but cannot help a game be good. I miss the random encounters like in fallout 4 and skyrim and even oblivion or morrowind you have to fast travel everywhere to do anything and flying a ship is wonky and to get any parts you need to have a very high level character and a large purse of credits. The ship building despite being the best part of the game is very buggy and unstable at times and accessing the warnings can be a pain to achieve. Mods will not save this game and if bethesda abandons it and never follows through on any promises this will be another abandonware.
