I'm Latvian.

This plays a little bit like a broken heart. The final cutscene with her climbing the fire up with the sparks into the sky made me cry. Oh I hope the Calamity will be over soon. Oh but the horror of all of this time.

Yes this game is mandatory if you like cats to any degree.

But not just that.

Some of the best environmental design and storytelling, the lighting, the attention to detail!! The story is amazing and lovely and everyone is such a character. The music! How everything comes together to present you with a world and story that just works in a cohesive way!

I cam into this game as someone who just wanted to play a really good cat game but I was blown away by how attentive the devs have been to crafting the experience that is this game. I don't 100% games as a habit, but Stray.. I will replay this often and make sure to 100% this on the way.

(Also Clem's apartment is the coolest virtual space I have seen in a video game in years and I am budgeting in at least a single lava lamp for myself next month)

That was fun. Of course I would be mulling about old mistakes just earlier today too. Short and sweet and I think worth the price. (Might not be as short for you. I read dumb fast tbf.)

I am not typically a sidescroller pixel game fan - but this game is a gorgeous spectacle of some fantastic design and colour choices. The gameplay is straightforward but goes interesting places. It has been great seeing this game grow with the new expansions (seriously, Norse Lands is worth the extra money, not just for the new visual style but for the expanded mechanics). It was also lovely experiencing the first Kingdom game, then New Lands, and not Two Crowns. It is easy to get wrapped up in it - and distracted by the fantastic colours and scenery while greed are about to swarm you. Worth it.

Not for everyone, but look up some gameplay videos - I have certainly never resented any of my time spent with this game.

My favourite game from the Choice of Games, a classic with the biggest branching storyline I've ever witnessed from text based choice games. Very well written, planned out and gripping with plenty of chances to do exactly what YOU would like to do as a reaction to any/all events. Very good replayability especially if you pick different main paths for your character. Masterpiece.

Very very nice, very inspired, reminded me of American McGees Alice a bit, though it certainly got even weirder at the end of the game.
Still, the art is lovely, the soundtrack amazing, definetely worth it's price, and I'm not the biggest fan of 2D point and click games.
Am the biggest fan of story rich psychological horror though.

It is definetely something else.
As a Baltic, there is something familiar, yet strange about this, yet so familiar...
Recommended, a great experience.
