First there's the graphics, they are simply beautiful. I often found myself staring at a beautiful sight in my 1 hour play time.
They are amazing for a game that it F2P and created by one man. The sights in this game are amazing, they're able to rival any of the wonders of the world and if I could, I'd live in this realm.

Second is the gameplay, it is simple, intuitive and fun, it even rivals games like GTA V, CSGO and anything similar. It's not a hard game, but one definitely worth putting time into. The content within the game is enough to make up for the incredibly hefty price tag of "Free", it's an incredibly unique take on gameplay.

The core mechanics of the game are simple, catch Nephelym and mate them with each other to produce offspring. This in and of itself has never been done before, it's interesting, new and overall a refreshing outlook on game mechanics.
Sheer amounts of optimization went into this game and I never saw anything below 45. With such an expansive world and tons of Nephelym to catch and tame, there's never a dull moment.

I can not express enough just how amazing this game is and how well it plays and I'd highly recommend it to any self respecting PC gamer.

CS2 is a lacklustre release that was overly hyped and barely what was promised in the trailers. There are so many issues even this far past launch and the game is still completely unplayable under Linux unless you're willing to tinker with XORG or run Wayland (which is still extremely difficult without an AMD rig).

It's a shadow of its former self and I'm sad to see CSGO's lifespan end in such a way. They had the hardware to test under Linux yet never did and refused Linux support until after the playtest was over.

A shameful attempt at attempting to rewrite the competitive nature and meta of CS. Overall a disappointment. I expected better from a company who've historically been so open and transparent about their love for FOSS.
