The better Overwatch 2

Been playing for years, hoping to play for many more years to come. One of my go-to comfort games for a while now!

Isn't actual content... Yeah, this game's dead alright

This game needs way more than just a new weapon (that's relatively lame to boot concept wise) to become at least somewhat interesting

No more PSN Connectivity required! This game is great and was already beforehand. Glad they changed it <3

I really wish I could give a neutral review or smth, cause this game isn't BAD persé, but it also isn't great.

Story is short, but it's also good.
Combat is wildly different from the stick of truth and fractured but whole, but still decent enough
Art style is also wildly different and not my cup of tea, but it isn't bad at all

Main issue for me is lack of (interesting) replayability and content. There's only 5 missions, each about 1 hour long. After you're done you can replay them with some different weapons and abilities on different difficulty modes, but that's about it. You can check out the free DLC too, but all in all that's just an endless mode and nothing more.

I wish there was more story, more levels, maybe even a PVP mode or something to dig my teeth into. As is stands now the game's alright for a first playthrough, but nothing more to me. The gameplay reminds me a bit of Left 4 Dead, but that game was more replayable, had larger weapon variety, different ways to do things. This game doesn't.

Don't even get me started on the season pass though, I left an entirely different review for that on its page.

TLDR: Game is alright but nothing spectacular. It's cheaper for a reason. Buy it on sale or smth, and absolutely don't buy the season pass cause that's a straight up scam atm.

The state it's in now, the season pass barely has anything in it: Only the CRED pack so far. All the other promised stuff is sprinkled throughout the year and drip fed to us. The thing is: This is not going to keep this game alive or bring back frequent players. The promised "content" is actually mainly a bunch of cosmetics, 1 new melee weapon, 1 new ranged weapon, overhaul for an already existing weapon(?) and a new game mode: All of these are seperately releasing over the coming months.

This is not going to keep players coming back. This game needs actual additional content in the form of more story, more levels, maybe even a PVP mode? idk. As it is now, this is NOT worth the 25€ I paid on top of the actual game.

Peak perfection. I haven't been able to DM my DND game in over a year, this is scratching that itch bigtime <3

It's gotten so much better compared to how it was starting out, def recommend

Use it for the most part as a medium for RP: And for that this game is SO versatile, especially in the modding scene! Great canvas for fantasy RP, building, gameplay wise also quite stellar. Def recommend!
