I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate this game 10/10

They downgraded the game to look and play worse like a mobile game for quest users and now are removing the 1.7 branch so now pc players can't play the old and complete version of the game that they bought and was advertised

Brings me back to Yakuza 4 if you like the song from that game, Whiskey & Rhapsody, you'll like this game provided you can get past the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and shallow detective parts. ♥♥♥♥ you Johnny for keeping this off PC anyways I'm off to make some Judgment Porn just to ♥♥♥♥ with J&A.

Don't believe the ♥♥♥♥ you hear about this game:
Combat is fine not as good as later installments but this is only the 3rd game in a series of minor iterations, enemies do block often, however this only teaches you how to fight without mashing light attack heavy attack while Yakuza isn't known for its particularly deep combat your moveset rapidly expands if you don't just mainline the story, youll soon begin to unlock new opportunities in combat like multiple levels of parry from the risk and reward komaki tiger drop and parry requiring particularly stringent timing to the heat action based first reversal to a low damage guard attack that creates openings in the enemies combos. However the combat isnt perfect, the enemies have a bad habit of snapping around when you manage to get behind them which punishes evading attacks as enemies will just block or worse continue a combo.
The plot of Yakuza 3 can feel like a garbaled mess at times and the story telling can feel unnatural as the game on multiple occasions dumps exposition on you as you have the plot of what happened between 2006 and 2009, character's motivations and identities, and whole conspiracies explained to you an tensionless and uninteresting way.
However the unremarkable plot is held up by the lovable characters like Rikiya and haruka.
Most Substories in Yakuza 3 take the grounded nature of Y1 and the more developed and lengthy stories of Y2 to create memorable substories like solving a murder case at cafe Alps or following the script for a samurai movie down to the heat action and order that the enemy samurai are killed. Other substories are available with Rikya and Haruka and are emotionally charged more than others, and feature the dysfunctional couple from yakuza 2 and rikya's childhood friend.
Yakuza 3's soundtrack is great it isn't overproduced like kiwami but isn't as simple as yakuza 1's striking a good balance
It isn't worth talking about graphically either.
If I were to give it a number out of 10
It would have to be a 7 it would be 7.5 if kiryu could walk in a straight line

This game perfectly bridges the gap between tactical shooter and milsim while also having enough arcade elements to make the gameplay fast paced, tactical, strategic, hyper-realistic and most importantly fun, the game is well balanced with enough weapon variety to allow proper tactical play without making it so half the team is with smgs or another overpowered unrealistic weapon this is done by spliting the 32 vs 32 platons into specialized 4 man squads with different roles and objectives making it so most people has a bolt action rifle but some will have acess to loadouts with mounted mg and unmounted mgs, grenades, flamethrowers, pistols, binoculars, knifes, shotguns, marksman scopes and more with the squad leader able to plot a plan of attack on the map for the squad to see and having things such as binculars and an ablity to call in a airstrike, gas mortar or recon depending on the type of squad.

Almost every weapon takes one hit to kill in the chest at long ranges making this game difficult, punishing bad stratergies, the main game mode of verdun is front lines where the teams take turns attacking and defending as if you fail to defend you will counter-attack and if you take the eneimes trench you will defend that trench from a counter attack and if said counter attack fails your team gets a point and gets to attack the next trench down the line, you have 3 minutes to take the trench but if you kill 80 enimes the attack will gain momentum and the timer will increase by 30s, if you have people in the enemy trench after the time has run out you will have a foothold and be able to stay attacking as long as you have people there meaning that you can capture or kill 80 enemies to reset the timer, this style of game is well-balenced fun and authentic

Over-all i give this game a 9/10 it is not a ten because of a few bugs and a small community although it is rare to see the biggest lobby be under 45 players
