Early Access Review
Considering that it's fun to battle and upgrade your robot and it's free to repair it so you always make a profit, I see no reason to buy the premium currency.

Think about this, this game is cheaper than a bar of chocolate. A bar of chocolate is satisfying but only for a short while as after you eat it, it's gone. Orion: Prelude on the other hand is a game meaning that it has a practically infinite amount of usage, and if shooting dinosaurs in the face is not satisfying to you then I don't know what is.

Imagine what COD would be on the PlayStation 1 with microtransactions and zombies and you get Counter Strike Nexon: Zombies. Bad move Valve, bad move.

One uruk killed me right at the start of the game and continued to kill me 3 times after, so I decided to track him down and kill him. Found him in the plains of Mordor and drained him because I needed some elf shot and it would kill him for good (or so I thought). So I play through a few more story missions and I come across him again, this time he's amassed a band of uruks and his face was so badly burnt. So after an epic battle I killed him once more but as per usual he kept coming back with his scarring getting worse and worse until it got to the point where he had to wrap a cloth around his head to hide the scarring, then on the 6th time he came back to life I chopped off his head and he was finally gone. For the rest of the game I played thinking that my old nemesis was dead and gone until it got to one of the final missions. That same stubborn uruk showed up again as one of the final bosses.

This game is superb, the nemesis system is one of the best gameplay features that I have seen in a long time and will give you some pretty memorable moments. All the orcs have so many different personalities and traits that it never gets old watching uruk captain's rise, fall and betray each other in the ranks of Sauron's army. Even regular goons may get promoted to captains if they kill you in a fight which adds to the replayability of the game.

Overall this game has been one of the best of 2014 by far despite it's somewhat weak and difficult to follow storyline, it's always fun to play and I would reccomend it to anyone.

9.5/10

Damn this game is fun! I heard about this game ages ago when it was in beta and I just bought it and its so good! As an indie I didn't know what to expect but this game is worth every cent that I payed. The game is a 2D isometric survival perma-death and is quite a challenge. You'll find yourself spending countless hours scavenging for resources, hunting for food, exploring the immense world and encountering all manner of strange creatures and events. This game also has an absolutely gourgeous gothic art style and all the creatures and different characters have their own unique feel and personality. The expansion pack 'Reign of Giants' is also very fun, it adds new creatures, characters and biomes to meet and explore adding a whole new aspect to the game's play style. Be warned though, this game is no walk in the park, being a survival perma-death game you're not likely to last long without a bit of experience. Everything is out to get you and you probably will rage quit a few times (I know I myself had a few rage moments). All in all though, this game is a must buy and should be in everyone's Steam Library, it's fun, innovative, creative and is a different take on the survival genre all together.
