I absolutely love this game. Even with my graphics settings practically locked at low everything so that it can run on my potato, the game still looks absolutely stunning if a bit laggy. With how garbage my computer is though, that's to be expected. There's a couple of reason why I think this game is excellent, and I'll list them now:

*The idea of a planet that is pretty much 99.999999% ocean is absolutely fantastic, and I've not ever seen it applied as well in a game as this.

*The designs of all of the flora and fauna are A+. The serpentine designs of many predatory creatures in the game, like the stalkers and the reaper leviathans, fit extremely well with the ocean setting, and their streamlined movements look absolutely wonderful in the water. The glowy, alien aesthetic definitely shows in many of the plants seen in-game, and creatures such as the sea-cow like gasopods. It matches the phosphorescent nature of many planned and partially-implemented predators like the sea dragon leviathan, as well as the deep-sea variants of the shallow-water tropical fish. The gentle giants like the reefbacks and the (I think) partially-implemented sea treaders add a sort of feeling of helplessness despite their passive nature, and a very definite knowledge that there is something far grander that occupies this vast ocean in which you must now survive.

*I definitely have more than a bit of bias towards this game, as I love the ocean, but the whole aesthetic has been pulled off flawlessly. There is immense satisfaction being recieved when playing this game, and I oft find myself looking out of an observatory I've built onto my base into the vast ocean.

*The game's just damn fun. It's extremely relaxing when you're not voyaging out for supplies, and when you're out scavenging there's definitely a tense feeling like, "I could be eaten at any time", and for many that might have a fear of the open ocean the tension could definitely compound. It's a good game. I like it.
