Sunless Sea gets many things right, and few things wrong. The writing is incredible, intriguing, and unique. The stories are all unique and will take hundreds of hours to get to them all. Everything, from the flavor text, to the visual design, is exquisitely crafted. The fighting might fall somewhat flat, and the grind near the beginning can become infuriating, but these negatives are heavily outweighted by the delightful stories present in Sunless Sea. Be willing to die, and take risks to get the best experience possible

I'm bored, so I go play CS:GO

I warm up in deathmatch and hit all my shots. I think it's going to be great day. Oh, how wrong I am I.

I queue for a game and get in. Nobody talks during warmup, but that's okay. Then the game starts.
I call out a strat, and that's when their mics turns on. I hear static, before they scream "CYKA BLYAT RUSH B NO STOP RASH B". We rush and get destroyed, and all I hear is "RASH AGUN RUSH B RUSH B NO FEAR NO STOP". So we keep going, and keep going.
It's 5-0 and a guy leaves. It's 10-0 and a guy starts team-killing as fast as he can. At halftime another one leaves. We win the first round, and then suddenly a guy on the other team bunnyhops like a speed demon and one taps all of us with the Desert Eagle, screaming about some hack. We lose 16-1. I think about how bad that was, but hope the next game goes better.
But it happens again, and again, until I quit the game, pissed off.

But I can't stop playing. I don't know why.

Transistor is one of my favorite games, if a bit short for my liking

The game is a 2D isometric one, but don't let that fool you. The combat is slick, the visuals are stunning, the audio is top notch, and the story is interesting if a bit vague. Blended together, these traits make Transistor an experience worth playing.

I recently got the game. Thought it would be fun. No longer. To the back of my library it goes.

Amazingly well balanced. One of the best shooters on the market. 9/10.
