My honest review of Elden Ring.
(I'll be excluding all of my complaints about this games horrid instability and performance issues, for if I were to take these into account my score would plummet several points)

I'll break this down categorically

- Graphics/Visuals/Art Design
There is absolutely no excuse for this game to look the way it does, this is a 2022 title and it looks like a port from 2014. Dark Souls 3 unironically can look better at time. The shadows are awful, the textures are sub par, the effects are shoddy at best and the models are half-@$$ed and uninteresting, especially when it comes to large forested areas.

As for the art design... there are SOME places in this game that can look nice... the skybox for the most part looks pretty nice, Caelid has a nice direction to it and some of the endgame areas can look pretty alright as well. However, the entire snow section of this game is atrocious, it is boring, full of horrendous effects and blizzard fog walls, flat, uninteresting and just a pain to exist in. Towards the end of the game (after you burn down a certain something) literally the entire map becomes a swirling sh1tstorm of particles and it hurts my eyes... there is no excuse for this game to be so ugly.
Graphics - 3/10 Well below average.

- Map/World Building
The map is far too large. It has to be said. This map is plagued with giant empty areas (Radahns boss room is the size of limgrave and its completely empty) dozens of copy pasted ruins, boss seals, castles, churches, caves et cetera. There are several gigantic cliffs that lock off entire areas to you unless you walk ALL THE WAY around them and combining this will ridiculous (and completely unnecessary) fall damage makes this game a pain to traverse. There is traversal just for the SAKE of traversal, it adds nothing to the game, in fact it takes away from the experience. Gone are the days of deliberate and sensible item placement, this copy pasted world is stuffed with random ♥♥♥♥ out useless items all over the place, have fun venturing into the depths of hell, crawling through a cave of gigantic bugs just to find a few mushrooms at the end of it. The undeground areas are also a gigantic pain, they are broken up into sections and only serve to lead you to a few recycled bosses. The teleport system is VERY overused. You can skip over entire sections of the game on accident by stumbling across teleporters that magically woosh you to the end of the map inexplicably. This can make finding certain items or locations nearly impossible without the aid of Google, certain questlines I swear you will NEVER figure out until you finally cave and google the incredibly obscure and specific instructions. Many of these aspects feel half baked, I have a theory that fromsoft didn't even want to do an open world but had it shoved down their throat by namco. And this was the messy result...
I'm giving Elden Rings open world design a 6/10 A for effort I suppose, but a giant misfire.

- Gameplay/Combat Mechanics
Nothing to say here really (when it comes to PVE) Same old recycled dark souls combat loop that we have had since the first one, even the animations are fairly identical, the only new aspects are the Sekiro style "stealth" crouch mechanic, which btw is pretty pointless and I personally almost never used it. And of course the horse... which servers literally no purpose outside of a faster method of traveling in a straight line and using air lifts. Oh and some horrendous crafting system, honestly one of the worst I have ever encountered. And that is genuinely all I can really say about the gameplay.
I'll give this gameplay a 6/10 Above average for souls games I suppose. Same old same old. Nothing too special.

- Bosses
Ofc this is a fromsoft game we have to talk about the bosses. Honestly, to me this game was FAR to easy. Even when using average weapons, any souls veteran will breeze through this game like nothing. Playing as a mage is something a tiny child could do, it makes the bosses trivial at best. None of the bosses really stood out to me as very interesting, The final boss, Radahn and Godfreys true form were really the only standouts. This game is riddled with recycled bosses and mini bosses. Even a few of the main boss fights are recycled later on towards the end of the game. The only bosses that I found actually "challenging" were any bosses that was equipped with a BS artificial difficulty one tap AOE attack. Some of these bosses will spam the crap out of them as well. These were easily the most uninteresting and underwhelming bosses in any souls game to date.
Bosses get a 6/10

The Music.
I realize this is subjective but... this games music was Very boring, none of the tracks stood out to me whatsoever, I can't even remember if any of the bosses had their own unique music since it pretty much all sounded the exact same to me. Not great, not horrible, just whatever, music just for the sake of it.
Music gets a 5/10 for me

The Story.
NGl I have no clue whats going on in this game, I could care less i'm so uninterested. Something about "maidens" and "fingers" and "The Elden Lord" and the "Haligtree". I have no clue and I honestly don't care. It failed to grab my attention. I'm getting bored even as I write this review...
5/10

And now for the worst poopoo ♥♥♥♥ that ever spawned from Fromsofts butthole.
- The multiplayer
This is the single worst multiplayer experience that I have ever encountered, PERIOD.
Poise is a fake stat. It doesn't function as it should, it doesn't allow you to POISE through attacks, it only allows you to roll out of weapon arts, this makes most large weapons absolutely pointless.
Bloodhound Step breaks pvp, it ruins the balance and destroys any need for timing or skill in regards to evasion. It has more iframes, covers more distance and is safer than any roll could hope to be. It's completely unpunishable.
Stars of ruin ALSO absolutely dumps on pvp, it is almost completely unavoidable unless you have bloodhound step equipped, it does far too much damage and is far too spammable.
Speaking of spam that is literally all you will find in online. This game encourages weapon art/spell spam. They are all completely safe and absolutely broken.
Rivers Of Blood is nearly unpunishable, it does far too much damage and its weapon art has practically infinite poise.
Fingerprint shield turns you into an impenetrable god.
Madness builds can loop you to death with beams that do 800 damage per tick.
Status effects are far too good, they procc way too easily and do far too much damage. Bleed can be procced instantly and do 1500 damage with the correct setup. Frostbite and madness can stunlock you to death. And any status effect can cause buildup even if the weapon that uses them misses you completely. Just as long as the weapon gets NEAR you and attacks, the buildup happens. This needs to be fixed immediately.
Players online are encouraged to do nothing but run away from you and either spam spells/weapon arts or wait for you to attack first so they can spam arts/spells to punish. It's incredibly annoying having to chase down people with bloodhound step since it's unpunishable. Invasions are also rife with bugs and glitches, the most annoying of which is having someone ALT+F4 when they lose and crashing the hosts game.
PVP takes zero skill. It is purely build based.
I could go on and on for pages and pages about how garbage the pvp system is but I think you get the idea.
This PVP for me is 2/10, absolutely the worst and most imbalanced pvp system that I have ever encountered.

This game overall for me was boring, uninteresting, far too easy, full of problems and imbalanced as hell.
This was a massive disappointment for me, I can't believe I waited so many years through so much hype for such a sub par souls entry.

My overall score for Elden ring is a 5/10. It is PAINFULLY average.

This is my honest opinion based on my experience.

This game is so bad I wish I never knew it existed.

Very few games I have played in my lifetime that I can say genuinely made me cringe.

This game was painful from start to finish.

1. It's ugly as sh**

2. It's cringier than a Furry Convention.
Literally every singular line of dialogue in this game was written by one of the guys who shot up columbine.

3. "Like doom" "doom clone" "90's fps" b**ch what. This game wishes it could be Doom or anything close to it.

4. Controls are @$$. Gamepad basically doesn't work, and mouse is exceedingly hard to aim with given how for some RIDICULOUS REASON aiming down sights actually makes your aim MORE SENSITIVE. Whoever coded this hot trash has never played an FPS in their life.

5. There is basically no story, there is no real explanation as to what on earth is going on, just "go kill stuff with meat gun" and you like the massive idiot returd you are that bought this dog@$$ are supposed to nod and go "okay daddy."

6. The price. w.t.f. 15 bucks? for less than 2 hours of gameplay? I wouldn't pay 4.99 for this garbage let alone 3 times that.
Witcher 3 has 10 dollar DLC's larger and better than most AAA titles.

Please do not waste your money on this edgy half-@$$ed garbage title.

An Honest Critique Of Dragonball Xenoverse 2 -

As a player with thousands of active hours and being one of the top players in the world across all platforms, I feel I am in a good position to give a respectable and honest perspective on this game.

In the first part of this review, I will be ignoring some current (and important) facts of its current state, such as… cheaters, glitches, popularity and or demographics taking part, so that I can cut down to the meat and talk about the game for what it is.

Starting with the simple stuff.

Graphics: This game has pretty trash graphics, even for its anime “art style” approach, its pretty bare and doesn’t stand out in any way amongst similar games.

Story: If you’ve seen the anime, you have seen the story of this game. Once again we get another Db game and once again we get the story of DBZ all over again except this time we get some cringey horribly written tacked on sub plot about time travelers. Yawn.

Music: It’s aight.

Gameplay: I’ll speak only on the aspect of offline gameplay/pve for now, it’s horrendous. The ai is brain dead, you just smash attack until they die, the developers way of “challenging” you is to give the enemies super armor and 50 health bars. I genuinely cannot wrap my head around how so many people can dump hundreds and even thousands of hours into this game and ONLY play offline. These people need help.

PVE ie clearly only meant as a way to pad out the content and serve as a way to practice and grind for PVP.

Which brings me to the most meaningful aspect of the game…

PVP: This is where the game both shines… and sh/ts.

On a base level the PVP is actually amazing, far superior to the block camping footsie simulations that are 2-D fighters that have been around since the late 90’s.

Being a 3-D fighter with flight makes this game unique and gives it far more depth and far more utility than games like mortal kombat or street fighter, and as a consequence it lends the game a far greater skill ceiling than those games as well. And with the addition of a stamina system the game is elevated to even greater heights. This is easily one of the most fun and most skill oriented formats for a fighting game, period.

This is truly where the game hits is stride and shows how great it can be, or I should say how great it COULD be.

Unfortunately the developers of this game, for all their innovative genius, are also lazy morons who don’t play their own game…

This combat system is RIFE with issues.

First and foremost: CACS.

Whoever thought it was okay to allow players to create their own character and then mix and match literally any combination of skills/super souls for PVP should be imprisoned and heavily medicated.

CACS are without question the top of the food chain on the roster. They can even be set up in ways that are literally unbeatable (not a joke)

They have the best skillset (because they can have any skillset) the best passive abilities, the best combos, the best damage the best cancels et cetera

Simply put, if you main a cac you have no right to call yourself a pro.

That is not to say that some cast characters are not also very broken, of course they are, but they are far and few between and none of them can hang with a META cac build.

There is also the issue of people smashing the block button for perfect blocks, or grab spamming constantly, or simply running away and playing insanely defensive for the advantage. The game does nothing to balance these things out.

With that said, lets talk about the current “state” of the game.

There is no question that this game has degraded in quality over time, each update seems to break the game more and more, there is such a laundry list of issues that either existed at some point or still persist to this day, that I won’t even bother trying to name them all… instead I shall touch on the big issues.

Cheaters: as with any game you are going to have losers who suck and want to cheat to win, this game is no exception. This is just part of gaming culture at this point.

Glitches: there are plenty of glitches in this game, currently we have a long standing issue with bugged super souls that instantly reset stamina upon breaking it, removing all skill requirements from pvp. The devs have largely ignored this issue entirely.

Toxicity: This is by far the most toxic and weak minded community I have come across in my life, this community is literally 90% cry babies and autistic weirdos that can NOT handle taking a loss. You even have some of them actively cheating by altering their games framerates for an advantage (this speeds up recovery from attacks among other things)

The only silver lining is that the skill ceiling in this game is so high, that if you are skilled enough you can get around these things.

Now. Does all this make xv2 a bad game? Should you let these things deter you?

Yes. Yes it does, and yes you should.

This game sucks. This game is a MASSIVE failure to execute a fantastic concept. At launch it was actually a solid fighter but over time, the crybabies in the playerbase, the cheaters the exploiters… and the developers laziness has deteriorated the games quality considerably.

You simply should not play it, don’t consider buying this, don’t get into it, the game is already completely dead anyways…

The only reason I ever played this game was because I was good at it, and it’s very fun to make the losers that play this game nonstop very mad by showing them how bad they are.

In closing, I love this game to death, it will always have a special place for me, but I cannot call it a genuinely good game.

P.s. I love you Nekhan you handsome man :p

HORRID performance, I have a 1660ti laptop and even at the lowest settings this game gives me 10 F*cking fps.

HORRIBLE optimization and this seems to be a common issue when I googled it.

How in the hell has this not been fixed?!

DO NOT BUY THIS HEAP OF GARBAGE PORT

This is inarguably the GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME (Objectively).

Every single second of it's 100+ hours of Main game content is an absolute joy to experience.

-The voice acting is superb

-The Music is unforgettable

-The World is alive with some of the most beautiful landscapes in the entire gaming industry

-The characters are unforgettable, you will create relationships with them and grow to be influenced by their opinions and views, you actually care when a character is upset or gets hurt or even dies.

Every. Last. Quest. Is unique and has it's own story.

Dozens upon Dozens of Witcher contracts, each of them unique and handcrafted with love and passion by the amazing developers.

The immersiveness is unparalleled here, finding a notice board with a witcher contract, haggling with the customer for coin, canvasing nearby areas and questioning locals to gain information on the monster, collecting ingredients for potions, sword oils and bombs to give you an edge during the fight. The satisfaction of slaying a powerful and deadly beast with you silver blade and witcher signs, hanging it's head from your trophy hook on your horse and trotting back to the contract giver to collect your reward is incredibly satisfying.

The main story of this game is one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. There is a frankly MASSIVE cast of characters spanning JUST the main storyline, all your favorites from previous games like Dandelion, Zoltan, Triss and the kaer morhen witchers, and NEW ones that you have never seen before in the previous two games, new fans of the series will be immersed in this world and will learn a ton about the lore through these characters, and old fans of the original witcher books such as myself will LOVE and CHERISH their time experiencing these characters for the first time in a video game.

The main storyline is STUFFED with mystery, intrigue and complex MEANINGFUL interlocking character arcs that YOU THE PLAYER can directly affect by your decisions. There are MANY BRANCHING PATHS in the main questline AND in nearly EVERY side quest in the game, this makes replayability INCREDIBLY HIGH, after completing the game for the first time you will IMMEDIATLY want to start over and try it a different way. EASILY 300+ hours of content to explore across two seperate playthroughs with different play styles, that isn't to say you won't want to play through this game AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN over the years.

The quality and value for your money here is UNDENIABLE.

This game is for ANYONE, even if you are NOT a fan of the series and you know nothing about it, this is actually THE BEST starting point for new fans.
There are comprehensive and detailed character bios within the game for every single character and beast that you encounter so you won't be too lost for too long if you have not read the books or played the previous two games.

The game also has many opportunities to speak to characters and learn more about them and the world they live in.
But the game doesn't SHOVE the lore down your throat, it's there if you want it, everything is contextual and fitting, there are no info dumps or tangents that seem out of place or unnecessary

The game is essentially a MASSIVE open world spread across multiple continents and provinces and each is split up with buffer travel zones (unfortunately this does mean the rare loading screen) HOWEVER once inside any of these HUGE areas there is NO loading WHATSOEVER. Entering buildings and traveling many miles across the land is seamless and uninterrupted. This is one fo the LARGEST open world games to DATE, just one province is bigger than other open world games like GTAV for example.

In addition to this... it is NOT empty at ALL

This world is absolutely DRENCHED in incredible detail, the water and lightning effects are top level quality, the textures and environments, the character models and the monster models are all immaculate and gorgeous. And there are hidden areas full of treasure to find, secret monsters to fight and weapon/armor diagrams to be collected to craft and upgrade NEW gear, your armor and BOTH steel AND silver swords, even your CROSSBOW witch is a NEW addition to the series!
There are even Witcher diagrams that can be found in ruins of old wtcher schools across the land or on the corpses of fallen witchers, these diagrams hold the secrets to crafting powerful WITCHER gear beyond that of normal armors and weapons!
And all of these armors and weapons have unique and BEAUTIFUL models
Easily one of THE BEST LOOKING GAMES EVER.

The monsters are based on polish lore and folktales, and there is always something new to discover, everything from undead mother eating fetus's and blood sucking vampires terrorizing towns and villages to werewolves and ancient forest guardians that hide amongst the tress, even LARGE flying beats like griffins and wyverns

As Geralt you will encounter many interesting characters with many different views and goals, like ancient and powerful witches that seek to feast on children and grip the land with spells and blood magic, or powerful lords, kings and emperors that seek to conquer the land through politics and war

As is to be expected when The Witcher is around there is PLENTY of sex in this game, wether it be the romantic kind that can be achieved by exploring the romance paths in the game OR from prostitutes in brothels, but ALL of it is done very maturely and professionaly.

Throughout this game you will also play as Geralts ward and adoptive daughter Cirilla, a brilliant and gorgeous warrior with incredible power and magic granted to her by her elder blood, a special power handed down through many generations.

This is actually what DRIVES the whole story, YOU as Geralt set out to FIND Cirilla and keep her safe from a band of wraiths from another world known as The Wild Hunt, who seek to capture cirilla and use her gift to save their dying world and conquer the one we know, bringing about the armageddon.

There are many emotional moments in this game as well as many laid back casual ones, the pacing is very natural and is set by the player based on their style of play. The side quests should not be skipped either, they feel IMPORTANT in many ways and offer unique and fun experiences outside of the main questline, there are ENTIRE areas and storylines you will completely MISS if you strictly play the main quest.

However monster hunting and world saving are not the ONLY activities in this game, GWENT is introduced in TW3 and it is easily one of my favorite mini games EVER. It is a simulated card game based around the characters in the lore, you will collect cards and build decks to play against characters throughout the game, even compete in TOURNAMENTS for coin.

The COMBAT in this game is satisfying and smooth, freeflow sword combat has never looked or felt so good, amazing well polished animations and special attack in combination with your witcher signs can open many styles of play and many ways to approach different enemies. Your playstyle will change DRASTICALLY depending on what you decide to spec your perk points into, you can go full on sword master slicing your enemies to pieces with your steel and silver blades, you can be a sorcerer opting to pour ability points into your witcher signs, melting your adversaries with igni or blowing them away with aard, OR you can focus on alchemy, enhancing your abilities with potions and slicking your blades with oil that you can brew with ingredients from the world around you, wether its a flower plucked from a garden or a heart ripped from a monsters chest.

ALL of this and MORE awaits you in this game, and I haven't even touched on the AMAZING DLC expansions.

This game is MORE than deserving of it's GOTY status. CDPR have sculpted an absolute timeless masterwork of a game.
Easily deserving of m absolute HIGHEST possible

10/10
Just Buy it.

I strongly beleive that everyone needs to pull their heads out of their butts and wait for a patch stop trashing the game for its "core elements" when obviously you cant even play it dont be mad at the game be mad at its bad performance i am tire of seeing people say that the actual game is terrible becuase they are just that butthurt...and also stop bashing rocksteady its not tere fault ..its wbs and there dumb descicion to hire a 3rd party company to develop the port.
and now that i have gotten that out of the way let me just say i h was lucky enough to get a decent port and that i have not really experienced any problems other than slight shadow striping on purley the post arkham city batsuit (the one you start out with) most likely because y sli setuo that is causing this also i do get slight drops every so often and yes i have the graphi/physx settings to match anmd am playing at 1440p (2k for those of you who dont know that) and even though it sucks that i cantr play in 60 fps with ultra textures...i have actually done 3 playthroughs on this game and (let me just say that yes i am an arkham fanboy and i say it proudl) i will still bash any game for weven the slightest things this game i feel although the story was amazing with mindblowing gameplay mechanics and a host of badass villans (with more to come) grouped with very very very good voice acting i was dissapointed by just acouple of very uunderused characters but that is about it if i had to rate it a solid 9/10 until they patch it then i think it might just majke a perfect score...also just wanted to touch on the whole everyone is pissed about the harley dlc thing...it was a free pre order bonus i hope that you did not actually expect more than just a few maops..,anyway patches are coming soon so do still pick up this game on steam do not be a sellout and buy it on console.

One of the absolute best games that i have ever played rocksteady out does themselves every time!!!! the freeflow combat and the fluidity overall puts games like the witcher, assassns creed ect. to shame and the stealth makes the devs of metal gear piss their pants and cry to their mommies. if you are even slightly s DC/batman fan THIS GAME IS A MUST HAVE!!!!!!!
