Here's a quick tl;dr: If you enjoy platformers with a bit extra or came from the sega-genesis era of games, pick this one up.

A game that surprised me in more ways than one, quite honestly. I've always been attached to the platformer genre and this is one of my new favorites. I won't talk anything story or plot since you can find that in the game details, but I will talk about the good. Mechanically, it works, and it's solid, and that's a lot more than what games on steam have nowadays. This next opinion is disagreeable, but I found the VA and story to be extremely enticing, with Milla being one of my favorite all time characters. Most of the characters are actually rather memorable, with Brevon being presented as one of the best villains I've seen in a long time, almost Vaas or Handsome Jack levels. Believe me, by the end of the story mode, he's done more things to you and your friends to make the game take a seriously dark turn. And I loved every second of it. If you wish, you can play the stages sonic-style (classic mode), with just the levels and very minimal cutscene stuffs. Though I don't recommend classic, as you'll be missing the story.

Although I make this game sound like a perfect game (no game is however), it does have it's flaws, as with most games. Some VA was superb and very well done, Brevon for example. On the other hand, some is... not great. Nothing dealbreaking though. There are few bugs thankfully, no serious fatal bugs that I've experienced. Slightly strange physics, there is a lack of momentum when running up walls, you can do it from almost a dead stop. I didn't really care all that much though.

Do I recommend it? I do. I got it during the summer sale, but I've dropped enough time to say I would have payed full price for it. I also recommend the sound track. It was fantastic, absolutely amazing. Buying the game for it alone might be worth it.

Late P.S.: Last I saw on the steam guides, there is an in-game mod to remove the voices from the cutscenes in the story mode. Huge plus for those that want the story but not the VA. Isn't it awesome to have options? Lastly, Devs are giving free content in the future. Supposed to drop sometime around the end of this summer.

A moral sin to not have this game in your library. Goal of the game starts simple: beat your mom. Many additional playthroughs are hugely recommended (and required to progress). Start the game on hard, play as all characters for maximum enjoyment.

Grab the original and it's DLC for a tech demo to this game, super cheap. It is still extremely well done.

One of the few games I personally consider perfect.

Re-writing a review (as I am doing with my other reviews for my games):
4 Years after my other review...

Here's my opinion about TF2. It was a great game. Now mediocre at best. Unlike other multiplayer games, people are either rather quiet on some servers or actually genuinely friendly and try to work together/communicate. Obviously, you have your fair share of not-so-friendly users, but that's typical in multiplayer anyway. My real issue with this game is the unusual direction it turned in the past year and a half. I was totally ok with hats being added back when I was on my brothers account playing TF2, and still, to this day, I think that it's a quite nice addition, but also not a neccessity. The two recent problems I've been having for this game are:

1. The still strangely missing competitive matchmaking that was supposedly going to be added a long while back. Instead, they made TF:GO with battle scarred weapons or whatever. They talk about adding something to cater to those who like structured 6v6s (like myself), but I have yet to see any more about it in the past 2 years.

2. They seemed to have abandoned the idea of beta maps. Cactus Canyon and Asteriod honestly showed so much potential and I did have extremely fun rounds on them (specifically, stage 3 cactus canyon), but now it seems like they get little attention while Mannpower still receives constant updates.

The obvious upside to this game is that it is free to play, so if you don't enjoy it, there is no harm, no foul. Just a quick unistall. I'd say it's worth having if you're only gonna hop on a server with about 3+ friends and do something fun/silly.

Don't even touch the trading anymore. The market has really died in TF2 and there is no reason to trade anymore. Waaaaay too many phishing/scammer/bot accounts too. Inexperience will cost you dearly. Just don't bother.

Proofreading my review, I think a lot of what I wrote is biased, but hey, it's my review, my honest opinion. Hopefully Overwatch will be a fresh new look on class-based shooter, TF2's time is thinning.

The ultimate physics sandbox game. Build stuff that ranges from simple race cars to to full-blown Pimp-mobiles. Also, multiplayer servers offer LOADS of different gametypes to play on, such as Zombie Survival, Garry's Mod Survival, and Role-playing.

4 Year later update...
Had to change my stance for the game. The game has run it's course and is now severely outdated on the old, buggy source engine. Add to that an unfortunate plague of a rather toxic community and bland gamemodes in my opinion (TTT, Murder) makes me have to not recommend it. Seriously, the gamemodes that I mentioned on my previous review no longer have servers that don't involve a terrible admin or moderator base, or simply don't exist anymore.

Grab when it's $2.50 and play sandbox with your firends for a few hours, then drop it.
