After 11 years on Steam, this is only my second review as I almost never take the time to write one. But I couldn't allow myself not to recommend this absolute masterpiece. I haven't been wowed like that by a game in a long time and I'm not even done with it!

Early Access Review
I don't know where to start. Just like the dev team with this game.

This should never have been built on the engine it is running on. Arma 3's engine was already good to go, but because they wanted to re-use assets used in the original mod, they went with Arma 2's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ engine, but it was never designed for that type of game. It resulted in quite a mess when they tried adding more and more functions to the game. Yes they have started the move towards the new engine, but the transition is everything but smooth.

Going in Vehicules, in 3rd person, and having your FPS drop to 10 or 12, when you're not even close to max out graphics options? I mean, I don't have the most powerful PC out there, I'll leave that to LinusTech, but I'm fairly confident my PC should be able to run DayZ at 1080p without a hitch. They hoped that the new renderer on the Enfusion engine would fix things, but guess what? It didn't.

Honestly? Don't buy this. Just.. don't. Maybe, if they do pick up the pace on development, maybe it could be a future purchase, but don't get your hopes up. I had mines for a while, but they're gone now. The task is so immense ahead of them, they'll either drop it, or leave 2-3 coders working on it for the next like 40 years, trying to catch up with the times, but never really succeeding.
