I have 2k hours in this game and yet I still play like a silver or nova sometimes, I've become the consistently inconsistent team-mate with my group of friends. Getting insane 1 or 2 rounds where I go ham, and the rest I play pretty mediocre.

So why do I recommend it? I'ts what got me into being competitive and above all else still gives me really good vibes when playing a good match.
