The game does not run properly on modern systems - it appears to not have any way to close it properly. Alt+F4 did not work and the window would not allow Task Manger to open over it, quitting requires a hard-reboot. The game itself is not good either - graphics look 10 years older, voice acting is terrible, and gameplay is slow and confusing.

It would, though, be a great game to gift someone you didn't like. Can't beat that price.

I bought the original version of this game probably 10 years ago, and it's still being actively updated, more and faster than ever. There's really nothing else like it.

Great slow, simple strategy game. If you know, you know - great game.

This game is one dimentional and frankly boring, it may as well be a mobile game. The only redeming quality is the character art, but it's ruined by terrible writing for those characters which you cannot skip.

Although this game fell out of fashion fairly quickly, the gameplay holds up and still feels fresh, especially as they continue to add maps and game modes. I don't know what it's priced at now, but to me, $20 would be the perfect price.

One thing I specifically like about this game from the development side is that the game is very well optimized, and a Radeon RX480 8gb can play this in 4k quite easily.

It is a great family/freinds party game as well, as the rounds are short, and it's easy for everyone to understand. Controls are simple as well.

Worth a buy!

It's all the best Halo games, with all of their online-elements. These are some of the best, most well made First Person Shooters of all time. The multiplayer is perhaps the most strong community of any video game in history. The single player game is both challenging and rewarding, and has a fairly well written and directed story.

This game, is several of those games. If you know Halo, you should probably get this game.

I have played every game up to this one.

Far Cry games have always been strange to me - they offer a story that's not particularly engaging, and shooter-elements that don't really hook you, but you keep playing anyway. It's just enough to keep you paying attention. This game was very similar.

Unlike previous games, you do not climb towers to discover areas (Assassins creed style), which I always found a fun part of the game. I don't remember Far Cry 4 particularly well but the game does deliver an interesting villain, a-la Far Cry 3. It was made in the context of "Trump's America" and it feels to me like those aspects were hammed-up probably late in the development cycle - it's missing depth in that aspect. The same can be said about the gun play, you collect money throughout the game and purchase upgrades. You can upgrade your character, but it takes quite a lot of saving points to do so (the 'cheap' upgrades are not useful). There is no way to get all the 'good' upgrades.

The series has always had these kinds of annoyances, things that weren't thought through. For some reason though, it doesn't make the game bad, not at all. It keeps you coming back and is just interesting and engaging enough that it calls you more than new games.

There is some kind of online aspect to this game, which I do not care about. To me, a game needs to stand on it's single player experience, which this game did. I would not have paid the full $60 release price. I purchased the 'deluxe' edition (all DLC) for $25 or 30 during a sale, and I thought it was worth it.

I have heard the next game reuses the same map, and I don't plan to play it. Although I enjoyed the experience of this game overall, I don't think I will return to the Far Cry franchise until improvements are made to the gunplay. I do not feel like it has been significantly upgraded since Far Cry 3 and it's starting to show, compared to more modern FPSs like Call of Duty, and even some older games like Halo (PC port).

TLDR: minor tweaks to map discovery compared to previous titles in the series but not major changes to gameplay elements like gunplay and stealth. Fun but not repayable, and does not make me interested in the new Far Cry 6 at all. Worth a purchase during Steam sale but not under $30.

Great, straightfoward, challenging game with a fair learning curve. I can see myself coming back many times over years.

Sort of a political rogue-like. Great game for anyone interested in the government or politics, really makes you think differently. I love dropping my political friends into it, it's easy to understand but extremely hard to actually get anywhere unless you're taking you're time and really thinking about stuff. Mods are an awesome addition, really opens everything up.

Amazing auto simulator. Tons of potential with the workshop and Automation modding, and still in active development. Custom maps and cars, and challanges/missions give the game infinite depth - it can be any kind of driving game. Rock crawling, F1, Rally, racing, time attack, damage value, whatever you're into.
