This is the first time I've reviewed a game and I'm giving it a negative rating as I felt I ought to let others know that there is a game-breaking glitch that prevents the player from moving past a certain point and therefore makes the game completely unplayable from that point on.

In the "elegant crank" hos, the small silver lever that is supposed to be on the base of the fallen stand (circled in red in the strategy guide) is missing and therefore unable to click on, so one cannot proceed any further as there are no other actions that are possible to complete without finishing this particular hos. This also makes the bonus game impossible to access as it cannot be unlocked without playing through the entire main game first, so the player cannot even console themselves with that!

I checked online and it seems I am not the only one who has this problem but no-one has come up with any solutions and the developer hasn't bothered to fix it either, so the player is left utterly stuck.

I'm so disappointed as up to this point I was really enjoying playing Dark Parables: The Exiled Prince Collector's Edition - the graphics and sound are quite good, the Hidden Object Scenes provide just the right level of challenge, I was looking forward to playing the bonus game and it includes an integrated strategy guide if you get stuck - so I would definitely have given it a thumbs-up had it not been for this glitch, but instead the game has just left me feeling pretty p****ed off as I spent (for me) a ton of money buying this in the dark parables bundle (just buying it individually still would have cost £9.99) I can't even play the game!

So unless or until the developers fix this major issue, Dark Parables: The Exiled Prince Collector's Edition sadly deserves this negative review in my opinion.

The developers have finally released an update which fixes the game-breaking glitch I discussed above and it now possible to continue the game.

Although I am still in the middle of playing the game and haven't yet completed it, I am now changing my review to give it a positive rating because, as I stated above, the only thing that was preventing me from giving the game a thumbs-up was the aforementioned glitch which has now been fixed!

So unless I find any further major issues (which I will add to this if I do) I firmly believe that this is a great game and deserves an overwhelmingly positive review.
