From the fourth wall breaking character to the jank combat that reminds you of the PS3 or Xbox 360 era.

The graphics are actually pretty impressive, the character model and environments look great, the game does a good job with atmosphere too!

The fourth wall breaks are hilarious, I took a screenshot and the character told me that he hopes he looks cool in it XD when I looked at him for a while he told me I clearly never heard about personal space! great stuff!

The combat is the only part that needs a little improvement, it is a bit jank still. And that Boat mission? that was awful! Bar that, the game was awesome and I did not see the ending coming! Great stuff devs and all for the price of 2 london pints? Seriously, great stuff, get this game if you like: resident evil, dead space, or a character that is self aware XD

Right from the start you are greeted with a competent experience, volume doesn't blow your ears out, graphics settings are well set, FPS is capped at 120 and Motion blur is turned off by default!

The story is well written though I can confirm the Main character does talk a lot and for some this might be a sticking point. And I think starting the character off without the suit (which makes gameplay a lot harder) was not an ideal choice, it would've been good to have an entry mission with the suit and then after the mission he brings the suit home and goes for dinner or to meet a client and on his way back is where the current beginning sets in so that the user knows what he is working towards as the beginning is admittedly quite slow.

The graphics are gorgeous and exceeded my expectations given the price of the game (2 london beers). And the cell shaded style mixed with the modern style will make this game age like wine.

The controls, gunplay and style feel great!

The optimisation is absolutely fantastic, no bugs, smooth fps and no hickups.

Three improvements I would make:
Let us pick our two weapons freely, we are already limited to two, let me carry an SMG and an AR because currently I am limited to a pistol and a main, meaning that SMGS go out the window because they use the same ammo type as the pistol and if I am out on one I want to be able to switch to the other and continue shooting.

The second one is regarding the Darts, I would really like a quick Deploy option, so when I have my gun aimed, just flip the left wrist and let a dart fly by hitting g whilst aiming because switching away from my weapon to use the darts got me killed more than a few times.

The third one is the detection speed, even with all lights out sometimes I still got spotted in seconds and it is at times really hard to actually use stealth and more often than not I resorted to just blasting my way through!

That is it for me, thank you to Bigfry and the entire team for making one of the best single player shooters I have played in the last 7 years and thank you as well for showing up on my stream you are all wonderful humans!

Katanaut Is a lovingly crafted game, from the movesets with the different swords to all the abilities to the enemies, the optimisation, art style etc. It happened to release at a really awkward time (between Silksong and Hades 2) and has thus been a bit overlooked.

It took me about 5 hours total to get to the end the first time, I have not tried again since but there is more to the game, so much exploration that can be done but I am also mostly busy playing through my list and will come back to this game when I have a bit more time but you get something that will easily last you 15 Hours for the price of two London Pints. Give this a shot, it is more than worth it.

I am an OG Painkiller Fan

I love the Optimisation (game runs like a dream even maxed out)
I love the Graphics (impressive for a game priced 30 quid)
I love the Controls and player movement, tight and fast just the way we like it!
I love the GUNS, they are awesome! (but there isn't anywhere near enough)

I like the rogue mode, it is fun and refreshing and each level feels new, but am concerned about longevity.

I am okay with the Characters, they aren't bad, they work. Azazel and Metatron are hilarious (and the Codex as well)

I am dissapointed with the enemy variety, there isnt enough mostly just shooting thralls, I think there should be more (we have 3 really cool bosses, make minions for them) and this game is 18 plus damn it, add some succubi (game needs something to deserve that rating!) , some flaming skulls and other stuff you might find in hell!

I am pissed off with the "Story" it isnt really a story, little to no cutscenes and all the story is given to you via conversations that go under in the demonslaughter, and 9 levels? REALLY? It felt like a demo and not a great one! you Promised a Campaign! not some BS coop trash ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I am deeply concerned about the future and longevity of this game, you will get your moneys worth if you run the RogueMode and the 9 levels of the story.

The game is great, good quests, decent writing, AAA performance (need dlss and a hail mary to get decent FPS) great controls and combat.

The chimera across the game feel underwhelming as ♥♥♥♥, none of the fights were anything special at all, just flat areas and a boss.

We completed all side missions, had a good time overall and got down to the last 3 ISH hours of the game and good lord does it turn into a piece of ♥♥♥♥.

The last bit of the story, plays as if all writers got fired and some intern tried to fit in all 80s bad guy tropes.

The gameplay is absolute crap, beastmode means nothing (your weapons do more damage) enemies health and damage has just been raised to ♥♥♥♥ making even basic soldiers absolute sponges, the easiest way to kill things becomes pulling enemies in with your grappling hook and stomping on their face and the story, good lord the story.... There were so many ways they could've gone... If you shoved your fingers up your arse you'd find a better ending.

I loved this experience :) Good bit of humor, and it was entirely free :) It is very creative overall, love the paper shotgun XD

What a Brilliant game! The interface, the way it plays and works, the stories every part of this game is fantastic for those who like logical thinking, story heavy content and one adorable black cat!

Give this game a shot, I reckon the story/stories will have you hooked.

I recommend this game for singleplayer but not for coop (in its current state)

The game has a lot of promise and I think as a SIngleplayer game it likely already works quite well.

However me and my buddy wanted to play it in coop and it is borderline unplayable in coop > in the second stage enemies just keep respawning and you run out of ammo, you cannot load saves in coop (your buddy gets kicked out of the lobby) so if you die you have to start all the way from the start, some interactions cause your friend to be pulled into your camera view (whilst oddly enough still in control of their own char they see things through your perspective).

I love where this game could go and clearly it is inspried by dead space quite a bit which is one of my favourite games ever.

For now however I will refund this game as Coop is unplayable.

To the devs: Please do not take the refund to heart, I like where your game is heading and would love to play it with my buddy but there are quite a few issues to resolve and only so much money every month to be spent on games.

I will keep an eye on the game and will repurchase when those issues are resolved as I like quite a lot of the mechanics (such as the insanity for instance).

First of all, thank you to the devs for having a demo for their game, it doesn't happen a lot anymore and is always a breath of fresh air to be able to play and try a game before putting money down!

Now for a bit of a review:

The Pros:
>Movement is absolutely tight and feels great, overall i'd call it a lovechild of Doom and Ghostrunner

>The Gunplay is phenomenal leaning very much into the doom style gun play and with the ability from the suit there is plenty to explore here, there will be weapon variety from what I can tell and I can't wait to get my hands on those bad boys!

>The Story: Feels like we are leaning a bit towards Ghostrunner here, a voice in your head that seems to have certain motives and is not at all afraid to send you to die to achieve a goal since you are expandable, excited to see where this goes.

>The Technicals: Well optimized, the game will run on anything i reckon, performance is excellent, no stutter and no bugs or glitches found.

> The Graphics: The graphics look great in the cutscenes and in the game, the overall design of the game takes a more simple tone when it comes to environment, it doesn't feel cluttered or like someone wanted to add a thousand things, it feels clean in a way that reminds me of a mix of Ghostrunner and Mirrors edge, something that will age well.

Overall I had a blast and since the Demo is free I certainly recommend that everyone makes up their own minds

Absolutely loved this game, the Main character is great, the story is great, the music is great, the environment is great.

Would've liked it if there was a bit of above ground activity but as it is not artyom's journey but someone who doesn't mind being in the metro it works really well.

All is worthy of metro, the controls need a few QOL improvements to be really comfortable on all headsets,

Outside of it it was so good I finished it in one go :)
