If you have a loving family you’d like to temporarily forget about, congratulations — Mega Bonk has you covered.

By the time you reach the bosses with a thousand bananas erupting out of your ass and 9–10 extra jumps, the fight is no longer a fight. You just play ring-around-the-roses while the boss, now sitting on something like eight million health, patiently accepts its role as a sacrificial lamb. Occasionally it scoops away three-quarters of your weapons, just to maintain the illusion that you aren’t about to bonk it into extinction.

Somewhere along the way Mega Bonk reveals itself as Cookie Clicker with extra steps, where the hardest boss is going three seconds without a pop-up asking if you’d like even more numbers. Balance left early. I miss my family. Just one more run.

After 100% achievement completion, I can honestly say this was one of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had.

Combat: 11/10 – Feels insanely good. Smooth, responsive, and never gets old. Duels especially are some of the best I’ve played in any game (and there are plenty of them).

Gameplay: 11/10 – Everything just works. Exploration, stealth, combat, upgrades — it all flows really naturally.

Story: 20/10 – Genuinely incredible. Emotional, well-paced, and memorable all the way through. And the ending is absolute cinema. Easily one of the best stories I’ve experienced in a game.

Difficulty: 6/10 – Fair and approachable for most of the game. Challenging when it needs to be, but never frustrating. (The raid chapters are on a whole different level though.)

Multiplayer (Legends): 10/10 – Way deeper than I expected. The raids are tough, punishing, but also super fun and genuinely challenging.

I spent around 100 hours in total and it never felt like filler or padding.
From the single-player story to Legends mode and the raids, this game consistently respects your time and rewards you for learning it.

Easily a top-tier game, and without question one of my personal favorites.
