The hate is unwarranted.

Per usual, the crowd that wants the game to fail, hasn't even played it.

If the AC formula is something you enjoy, you will enjoy this game.

If open world, stealth ARPG, is something you enjoy, you will enjoy this game.

It looks amazing, the music and ambiance are top tier, challenging, I'm having a blast.

Highly recommend playing it in immersion mode, but not canon mode. If you want to make all the choices that matter, do not turn on canon mode.

Is it a MASTERPIECE? No. But, it's fun. And that should be all that matters.

Edit: After doubling my original time played, I see a lot of people whining about a "battle pass." There is no battle pass. There is daily/weekly grind that rewards you for time invested. It is not purchased. There is no fear of missing out, you can complete them at will.

The best survival crafting ARPG? Yep.

Killed hundreds of a single mob just for a chance at an item that isn't even guaranteed to contain a required item to complete a quest.

By time you actually grind enough kills for an ultra rare equipment item (they are labeled as uncommon....), you're so far past it in level, it's worthless. Not that I would know, the loot never, and I mean NEVER drops.

I killed enough deer to put me on PETA's most wanted list, grinded till they didn't give me any experience, grinded some more, a literal 1000 deer later, I decided this game was dumpster fire incarnate. 1000 kills later, and all I had to show for it was a few stacks of hide worth a measly 20 gold.

If you enjoy mindless grinding by standing in one spot and holding the attack button down for literally hours and never being rewarded outside of a .01 bump in experience, this is the perfect game for you.

If you like cutting down a dozen trees just for 3 planks of wood, but you need 10 planks to craft a shield (how do these numbers even make sense? I need to murder 50 trees to make a single hand held wooden item?) then go for it.

Otherwise, go play literally any other free pixel animated MMO - or any other MMO period. This one is absolutely the most boring MMO I've attempted.

If you like RUST and you like Diablo, you'll probably like V Rising... If the servers work long enough for you to not rubber band into the sun and burn to death.
