Absolute classic. Just, pure fun with friends all the time. Absolute blast especially if you manage to mod it as far as you can. Totally worth sinking hours into for the madness that unfolds at every turn. Totally worth it, especially on sale.

Weird how this game can be a worms game and lack a lot of the features that make worms games great.

Team17 has been dropping the ball with their worms titles for awhile, which sucks because frankly I love the games and I want them to succeed with them, but everything they've been putting out over the last decade just isn't really worth it. Armageddon and 3D (or Ultimate Mayhem on here) are still the best entries in the series, and this game just lacks what makes those great. Just like the rest of them, or how rumble misunderstands what makes the IP good.

That being said, is this game not fun? Well, honestly I'd consider it to be fun enough. But it lacks things like level creation and generation tools that the bulk of the mainline entries have when a twist like that packaged into a golf game would be very interesting to me. And it doesn't help that the game from when I played it felt very stiff in it's physics, which the physics of most worms games after Armageddon always felt too stiff in comparison. But yes, fun can be had while playing it, the game just doesn't feel like it incorporates more of what makes the main titles in the series more interesting in comparison.

Worth giving another shot for a sequel, maybe? But this specific title isn't something I'd recommend myself.

Great cooperative first person shooter in a scene where options in the genre are lacking. What's not to like?

Well, it's extremely buggy and there's tons of DLC, but it often goes on sale for a hefty discount, and $20 is well worth the price for the game AND it's additional content, despite the bugs. Honestly most of the aforementioned bugs are humorous anyhow, and not that game breaking.

Either way, if you're looking for a fast paced, first person coop game? This and Left 4 Dead 2 are still solid first choices. Just wish there was more like 'em out there.

A very solid port and remaster. I personally prefer playing the game as it was originally meant to be played on Quakespasm, but this is the most easily accessible version of the game and it comes with a lot of awesome goodies. Machine Games & Nightdive are doing god's work by not only maintaining this build, but adding on to it over time. Quake is one of those classics that just can't be beat, and it's fantastic to know it's only getting more accessible.

Don't buy it.

It's unfinished garbage filled to the brim with missing textures and stolen assets. It is absolutely not worth your money, or your time.
