You have a grapple to get around with but.. I just cant get over te fact that you cant jump its weird as hell and i don't like it. Other then that the game is ok. worth it on sale.

I picked this game up for 2 Dollars and it was worth more then that for sure. I would have paid 2 Dollars for the menu music alone it is amazing. As for the game what you see is what you get! Beautiful colorful environments full of mayham. Game is smooth and responsive which is a MUST in this type of game, when you play it feels tight. If you are a fan of twin stick games and this is on sale and youu do not own it buy it and love it like I have. You won't be disapointed

I bought this game and then they made it free to play and thank goodness because it didnt have enough marketing to make it and the player base was dying. This is one of the best arena brawlers to date. Its action packed! Your palms will get sweaty and your heart rate will hit 180, adreniline will be pumping through your veins. You will become the destroyer of worlds and devourer of souls eliminating all those that stand in your path. Claim your Battlerite!

Please Note: This reveiw is coming from someone who has never played this type of game before.

So this game came in one of the Humble Bundle packages that I purchased, and it was not the game i was purchasing it for.
It took me a while to install it even though it is a small game only about 1 gig, and this was due to me not being sure if this type of game would appeal to me or not.

Now.. like I said I have never played a game like this before. It is a real time Dungeon crawling game where you build a party of four. There are different classes for customization of weapons and skills that you will use throughout. I wasnt quite sure what i was getting into because i have played games where you have a party and go adventuring in the world towards your goal whatever it may be and gain levels acuire new abilitys and such but this was much different and far from the Final fantasy and secret of mana type games that I enjoy.

This game has some pretty decent visuals. You play in a first person perspective so you get to see the environment upclose. It has some great looking areas and some dull but that is almost every game now because lets be honest we have almost seen it all before. The dangerous creatures that you face as you travel through have a decent design to them and feel like they belong in the game which i like. There are also several different types that you will encounter which keeps the combat fresh as they all can do something different.

Your movement is grid based so you move forward, back and left to right as you would in most games except you only take one step which moves you 1 square so to speak. At first it seemed strange to me but after a bit of playing i got used to it and it worked well with how the map is designed.

Combat is pretty easy to grasp except for the mage which can take some memorization of different rune combinations so that you can cast your assortment of spells. It has some decent boss battles with some unique mechanics and overall felt nice. There are a few puzzles in here that i enjoyed and added to the overall experience of the game.

It offers different modes that you can play that change the dynamics of the game like the pen and paper mode which takes away the digital map and only lets you plot with pen and paper which i thought was neat. There is also an ironman mode which can appeal to some people but I didnt try it as I am new to this type of genre.

Overall I had a good experience with this game and it felt really fresh to me and i would recommend this game if its on sale to all that enjoy this genre or to those seeking something fresh that they have never really tried before. Do not be put off by this game because you have never played something like it. If you havent I recommend that you do. It might be the next hidden gem in your library

This game lets me get that Super Smash Bros Fix since I don't own a Wii or GameCube. It's simple but that doesnt take away from the games pace or the fun factor. Recommend giving it a shot, it is free after all.
