Having played this game for over 1500 hours across two accounts, a review was finally justified.
Crusader Kings II is nigh on legendary as a Paradox Game and a strategy game, not only for the amazing qualities it has, but also the brilliant experience it is as both a serious strategy game, and a nice bit of silly fun. It is one of the few games where I genuinely believe the Paradox DLC is worth it, pretty much all of it adds content that is surprising and expands on the world.

The game is of course, visually simple, and that to some degree lends itself to it's awesome visual style. The mechanics are good, refined and well worked and the AI, whilst still spoons for trousers stupid is at least funny in its drooling retardation, and fun can be had even with a computer that assassinates itself to extinction.

There are of course problems, the aforementioned AI, along with the instability of multiplayer still remains, and at times the game can be frustrating, not least when you take half an hour just to get a stable multiplayer game that doesn't crash four days in. The game is by no means perfect at all.

Despite this lack of perfection, CKII is well worth a purchase, for any Paradox or strategy fan, it is a truly amazing game, well worth your money!
