This is written as of launch patch.

TLDR; Good game, give it a go if youre a fan of autobattlers and/or DnD and roguelikes. Great potential to cover a niche and grow.

To start, the roguelike aspect of this game is great, ive really enjoyed that bit.
Where i feel like this game lacks the most, atleast for the moment, is visual clarity and impact during combat.
The game isnt scared to let you go fairly bananas with your builds, which is something im really looking for in this kinda game, but visually it doesnt really match up to me. Abilities and Traits dont really feel all that impactful (Not visually represented atleast) compared to raw stats, except for Uro, that guy is a monster. Id love to see this refined at a later point, if possible.
On the technical side, most of the game feels good to play, no major hickups or crashes, good fps, yet to come across any inhibiting bugs only real gripe there is that sometimes the animations post-combat feel abit long.

Would love to see modding support if more players end up requesting this in the future, but thats not a big deal for the short-term as development of the core game is still in progress.

Excited to see what the devs have cookin

Massive potential.
Current state (patch 0.12),
Gunplay feels great
Environment and atmosphere are great, but can be refined and deepened of course.
Gameplay loop is meh at the moment, but i dont know the intention for long term development, havent been following closely.
Enemies AI and models could use work, but thats secondary this early on.
Overall a fun time for now, but this could be fantastic after brewing for a bit

In its current state theres not really much to play.
The only reason you should ever open it currently, is either if you want an idea of what this game will aim to deliver later,
or if you're the dev lol.

That being said, i really like it conceptually, and think it has a lot of potential.
Obviously it needs ALOT of work right now, but atleast for me, this is defo one to watch.
Im going to be keeping an eye out for updates.

NOTE FOR SQUIFFY: I would highly suggest for players stumbling onto Daybreak on this release, that you adjust the audio levels for the phones and the walkie, especially since theres no audio sliders.
The phones were still pretty loud at 5% system audio, but then i could just barely make out some words on the walkie.

I think this would help alot right now for players that want to get an idea of the story as it is.

Most importantly though, just remember to make the game the way you guys envision it, dont take too much criticism. Leads to a much better game overall imo.
GL lads, and have fun!

AS STATED BY DEVS: THIS GAME IS NOT MEANT TO BE EASY, AND WILL BE REALLY TOUGH WITHOUT PROPER TEAMWORK.

I wanna start off by saying, if you're planning to play GTFO, it would be a good choice to try and look for a group of friends who would want to join, although you can meet new people through the official Discord.

The game feels great to play even at this stage of development.
I can't give it proper justice, as i've only played for a couple hours with just one friend, and we've been messing around and not really gotten anything done.
BUT, we've had alot of fun essentially doing nothing in the game so far.
The premise is great, the suspense is great, the action is fun.

Can't wait to see what more is in store for GTFO in the future, and getting to explore it more with my friends when i get a stronger group.

That being said, there is alot missing content wise thus far. Theres a good rotation of rough missions as far as ive seen, but there needs to be more substance, which i fully trust the dev team to get done after a while (based on the roadmap they have published for the game).
Keep in mind the game is still in early access.

All that's left for me to say, is that this game has a lot of potential in the long run, and it fills a niche i didnt know i wanted filled.
Will eagerly continue to watch out for updates on the discord and on Steam.

Good job 10 Chambers :) Keep it up <3
